Tileworks Retail Person of the Year 2022

Tileworks is a locally owned tile and bathroom business based in Bangor suppling tiles, bathrooms and LVT flooring. Along with their own bespoke bathroom brochure they also supply a vast range of sanitaryware to make any bathroom beautiful.

Tileworks have a small but welcoming team. Their first priority is giving customers a first-class service and ensuring a quality job. To do this they believe in educating customers on the correct installation of any products they supply. They take the customer through the journey from beginning to end, ensuring they understand the correct process. Tileworks are happy to recommend approved fitters to customers and will stand over their workmanship.

The experienced staff have worked in the trade or on the tools and this has provided them with invaluable knowledge and experience to pass onto customers and other tradesmen alike.

Tileworks Retail Person of The Year is Robert Bartlett (more commonly known as Bob) Bob started his career in the tile industry in 1998, 24 years he has been working out the square meters for thousands of customers! Bob joined the Tileworks Family in April 2011. The team at Tileworks commented on Bob’s success;

“Bob really is a sales person extraordinaire, he is approachable, easy going and his kind nature makes him a big hit with everyone.

Having been involved in the industry for so many years Bob gets people though the showroom every day on recommendation from past customers or tilers who have known him for years and trust him. This is a further testament to his outstanding contribution to not only the business but the local people of Bangor.

The Centre was also a ﬁnalist in the Employer of the Year Category. Celebrations were ongoing in Kilcooley Women’s Centre after the recent Bangor Business Awards after winning in three categories including; Innovation Through Covid Company of the Year Employee of the Year Commitment to Bangor Business Community

Kilcooley Women’s Centre is a key provider of training, health awareness, childcare and leads on community-based adult education in the area. Kilcooley Women’s centre is unique in its wrap-round support to promote social inclusion and engagement with education and employability. The centre currently runs programmes of study across a variety of, academic, vocational, and special interest areas including Essential Skills Numeracy, ICT, Introduction to ICT, Counselling, Level 3 Classroom Assistant, courses in hair and beauty, languages, and holistic treatments, with many exciting courses and short workshops in the pipeline over the coming months. and collected, he will always have the answer, with an incredible brain for tile names!

All round Bob is simply a model employee, he will always be there for you and never let you down, he will always give 100% to everything and everyone. He has attracted customers from his ﬁrst day in Tileworks and we are more than lucky to have him, he is our gentle giant.”
