 Mark has scored below average on his sit and reach test, which shows that he needs to improve his flexibility (1 mark)  Long jumpers need good flexibility in their hips which means that he should start flexibility training to improve his performance.  Changing the type of flexibility training may help him make further improvements to his overall flexibility. Ballistic, PNF, Static.  Mark is average for the vertical jump which is a test for explosive strength and power.  Mark could use weight training to improve his power and strength.  Long jumpers need explosive strength when they start there run up and when they take off the board.  Mark is average for the 35m sprint test this is a test of speed.  Mark needs good speed for his run up when doing the long jump to get a better distance.  To improve his speed Mark could take part in high intensity training sessions.
