This year our Project Ready Scholars seized numerous opportunities to prepare for College, Work and Life! Youth benefited from cultural enrichment. Career exploration and developing important skills, attitudes and aptitudes that will aid in their transition from high school and position them for post-secondary success. Urban League of Greater Hartford’s Youth Department is comprised of our: Project Ready Signature Program, Project Ready Mentor, Project Ready Shield, Go Girls! Comcast Digital Literacy, and Manage Your Future. Participants were engaged in a number of workshops including: Personal Branding, College Readiness, Job Readiness, Financial Literacy, Civic Engagement, Leadership Skills, STEM, and Digital Literacy. Our scholars became involved in activities in their communities and developed an understanding for giving back. They were inspired to network with others during Urban League and local community events and created long lasting relationships.
