Co-operative education combines real-world work experience with academic studies and has garnered international recognition as the preferred way to complete a degree. The program creates partnerships between students, the University and the employer.

You may join co-op as soon as you have applied for and been accepted to the University of Lethbridge — apply early enough to get access to the secure job board; you can even head out on your first co-op work term the semester before ever setting foot on campus Your transfer courses place you in high demand by employers who recognize the skills attained through higher learning and their direct impact on positive contributions in the workplace Students may transfer one approved co-op work term from their transfer institution You may complete one to six co-op work terms and these are recorded on your ULethbridge transcript and resume Co-op students can complete work terms in spring, summer or fall for 4, 8, 12 or 16-months — with so many combinations available, you choose what works for you
