Our heritage
Our story
Since 1881, Grant Westfield has been dedicated to manufacturing exceptional interior building products in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Throughout the course of over 140 years, successive generations have upheld a shared passion for craftsmanship, high quality, and innovation. While Grant Westfield today focuses solely on the wall panel market, our diverse historic outputs include:
• Lobster pots for the shipyards in the early 20th century
• Components for Spitfires in the Second World War
• Washroom systems for all UK airport, as well as the House of Lords
In 2003, we started to manufacture laminate wall panels, growing to making over 10 million square foot of wall panels last year.
In 2024 we were delighted to win several prestigious industry awards, including:
• Ideal Home Awards; Bathroom Surface of the Year (Tile collection)
• KBB Awards; Surface of the Year (Naturepanel)
• City Plumbing Supplies (largest wholesaler); Innovation of the Year (Naturepanel)
Out-with the UK, we operate in Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Austria and Poland, and are excited to enter the US market in 2025.

With 22 M homes in the US now more than 20 years old, and almost three quarters of outstanding mortgages locked in at below 4%, motivation to move home is extremely low, while the desire to add value and improve lifestyle through remodelling is at an all-time high.
Grant Westfield shower wall panels are perfect for remodelling projects, balancing stunning aesthetics to add long term value, with a mid-market price point to ensure projects stay within budget.
With an increasing shortage of skilled labor, the ability for the wall panel installation to be carried out quickly by the carpenter or plumber on site, without delaying the rest of the bathroom refit, drives efficiency.

The tile market is open to disruption from wall panels. Emulating the market dominance Grant Westfield has in the UK will be driven by partnership and passion. We are seeking long term partners, invested in supporting dealers, contractors and designers to untap the potential shown in the table.
This conservative 20 year view by state, building towards current square foot usage per capita in the UK, would capture a mere 8% of the US wall tile market. In the UK, wall panels now command 25% of the value of the wall tile market.
