Make journalism part of your studies Minor in Journalism Studies Are you a student looking for a minor that’s interesting and current? Do you like to write? Do you want to become a more effective communicator and a more savy media consumer? Consider the Minor in Journalism Studies open to students from both Dalhousie and King’s. The minor will complement your studies helping you hone your critical thinking skills, delve into the “why” of issues, and enhance your ability to present material clearly and concisely.

Just choose an elective or two No matter what your academic programme, you can choose one or more journalism electives. Electives are also open to members of the community. Insights and skills gained through these courses–including the ability to question thoughtfully, write well and look at the media with a critical eye– can be applied to whatever path you take.

The learning environment Classes are led by professional journalists who bring a wealth of experience to the classroom. Most classes are limited to about 20 students, which allows for personal attention and promotes lively discussions.
