After a 5 year absence Cleansing Service Group (CSG) return to UK and Ireland Spill Association

CSG was founded as a one-man sewage collection business in rural Hampshire more than 85 years ago and now employs a workforce of almost 550 people. The company has 27 sites across the UK, and is one of the largest privately-owned

industrial and domestic waste management groups in Britain.

CSG prides itself on its unique model of locally managed businesses backed by national resources, alongside a family business mentality and people focussed ethos.

The business works on the goal of diverting waste from landfill, recovering and recycling as much material as possible.

A well know brand with its distinctive red tankers with the red and white CSG logo on their sides, they are ever present across the country.

For many years CSG were UK Spill members but this lapsed as their emphasis on spill response reduced.

CSG has seen an increase in activity and is now rebuilding this business area with

work in hazardous, oil, chemical and nonhazardous spills. Their national network of specialist waste transport vehicles alongside their in-house hazardous waste treatment centres make them perfectly placed to offer safe and sustainable spill response services. Their experts also deliver training courses for businesses in the handling of spill response scenarios.

As they rebuild in this area they will be training new staff and gaining accreditation, through ISAS, to ensure this service is delivered to the highest standard by competent and proficient staff.

Respond, Service and Maintain (RSM)

RSM are a fuel maintenance services provider with national coverage. We offer bespoke preventative maintenance contracts to both public and private sectors customers throughout the UK.

Our aim is to mitigate the risk of failure due to fuel quality and to support customers effectively manage situations and environments where stored fuel is a critical asset. Our customer portfolio is made up of hospitals, prisons, data centres and generator service providers who want

expert advice on how to safely manage large quantities of stored fuel.

Our knowledge and experience mean we are able to offer our customers bespoke maintenance programmes; typically, our contracts include tank testing, fuel testing, fuel polishing, pipework maintenance and environmental risk reports. In an emergency and reactive space, we offer a UK wide spill response service.

We support customers in this space by having our own highly trained team of engineers, a fleet of response vehicles as well as access to both tankers and bulk storage. We offer a 24/7 spill response service and are going through accreditation currently.

Commercial Fuel Solutions Ltd

Commercial Fuel Solutions Ltd are specialists in the design, development, manufacture and distribution of fuel storage and transfer systems. Formed in 2007 they became the leading distributor for A1 Ad Blue product and associated equipment and currently 1 in 40 HGVs on the road use their product.

Providing a range of professional solutions to suit all areas of industry. Their systems are recognised for durability, performance and reliability. They hold a large stock and distribute equipment all over the UK.

Over the last decade, their technical expertise has helped shape the industry, their principal engineers are actively involved in a number of working groups including a position on the PEIMF’s technical committee and they have made significant contributions to writing technical guidance which is used at a national level, including the Energy Institute & APEA’s Design Construction

Beyond the conventional solutions which they offer as a company, they are also recognised for bespoke design and engineering of custom fuel transfer and storage systems which are suitable for Rail, Quarry, Marine, Aviation, Motorsport and Commercial Fleet applications.

Their customer portfolio includes several Formula1 teams where they have designed and supplied custom engineered fuel transfer pumps and precise oil dosing systems. Beyond this they can boast that their level gauging and monitoring equipment is used by NASA at their White Sands Test Facility in New Mexico and their

defence customers include the US Airforce, the Royal Navy and British Aerospace Engineering. Other high profile clients include; Shell, The AA, The BBC, Chevron Texaco, The British Antarctic Survey, Perkins Engines, Jaguar Landrover, Caterpillar Inc, McDonalds, BT, Johnson Matthey, Yara, Freightliner, Travis Perkins, DAF and Volkswagen Audi.
