Many anticipate the process to be quite stressful, similar to an Ofsted inspection, particularly for new members who are going through it for the first time.

Which is why I think it is important to reassure those who are considering joining AEGIS or those with re-inspections due soon that the inspection experience is, in fact, very positive. Personally, we found it to be a straightforward process, thanks to the clear guidance and the support of the inspector assigned to us. She was efficient, helpful, and flexible, working in partnership with us rather than imposing strict deadlines.

She seemed to understand that our main priority is to remain focused on our students, which is extremely important, especially for smaller companies where one staff member is handling the inspection while also looking after the students and managing other responsibilities.

The process is organised in a way to encourage guardians to check everything thoroughly, and it becomes easier to maintain high standards between inspections. In fact, if all the processes are internally rechecked each year after the updated guidance is released, the actual re-inspection won’t take too much time at all.

“We want to express our gratitude to AEGIS for the wonderful job they are doing by hiring the best inspectors and helping members maintain a high level of care and safety. This greatly benefits international students and ensures their well-being.”
