Welcome to the AEGIS STANDARD

A new academic year always brings new guidance, policies requiring update and staff training reviews. Many of you joined us for the Safeguarding Update on 25th September which focused on key safeguarding themes through KCSiE 2023, the ISI Framework 23 and important reminders from the NMS from last year. One of the key themes is student wellbeing, and we are aware of the great work that has already been put in place by many schools and guardians. We should also be considering digital wellbeing as part of our support for child resilience. With such a focus, we would love to hear about schools and guardians who are championing this area and how you are making a positive impact on the lives of international students.

Various consultations are taking place to review statutory guidance, such as Working Together to Safeguard Children (WTtSC), information sharing and mandatory reporting of child sexual abuse (IICSA recommendation).

WTtSC will bring out wide-ranging changes that will affect all communities that support children and work with multi-agency arrangements.
