Gerda De Preter studied Germanic language and literature at KU Leuven. She writes children’s books and poems. She likes beautiful sentences, interesting characters and humour in a story. Thé Tjong-Khing’s illustrations have already won several awards, including the Woutertje Pieterse Prize, a Zilveren Penseel and the Max Velthuijs Prize.
