For more than a decade, Schön! has brought together stars and creative teams the world over. Our driving force has always been discovering the talent behind all forms of entertainment – from cinema and music to TV, visual arts and photography – and we’ve scoured the globe for the best and most fascinating names that are shaping contemporary culture. Schön! comes to life through late-evening meetings, early-morning brainstorms and middle-of-the-night emails with bright ideas; working with fantastic teams of photographers, stylists, creatives and journalists, we’ve always been spurred on by the need to scout, nurture, reveal and celebrate talents. Our dose of fun has been in portraying them in ways they had never been seen before, translating their message and spreading the story behind their work. We believe in the arts as a motor behind change, just as actor and producer Theo Rossi tells us in the pages of this book: “The power of entertainment is that when it’s good it can shift your perspective. It can bring out every emotion we are capable of and, most of the time, joy.” Ever since Schön! launched, we’ve believed in the scope of diversity, and have always given the platform to those with a message; we feel our task in documenting and capturing the rich and varied voices there are out there in all the entertainment industries is fundamental. Our job has been that of giving a spotlight to each and every individual, specifically while keeping in synch with the changes our global society is undergoing.
