The William S. Richardson School of Law, situated in Mānoa Valley o O‘ahu, is Hawai‘i's only law school It has strong connections with the local bar and judiciary and has strong programs in Business, Environmental, International & Comparative Law, and Human Rights. The school is named after William S. Richardson, former Chie Justice of the Hawai‘i Supreme Court and a key figure in the school’s founding.

The LLM program is a postgraduate law degree offering advanced, specialized legal training. The LLM Program at William S. Richardson School of Law is available to both U.S. JD graduates and those with foreign law degrees.
Students in the LLM Program can customize their curriculum, choosing courses of interest. The program requires 24 credits, including up to six from other UH departments. Students work with our LLM Faculty Advisor to develop a personalized study plan and may choose to pursue a General LLM or an LLM in one of our Specializations.
LLM students who choose to concentrate their studies in one of the Law School's areas of excellence may earn a separate certificate in addition to their LLM Diploma. We offer specialization certificates in the following areas:
