UST‘AINABILITY Growing Maui’s Green Workforce
Upcycled Bottle Brick Building Workshop Spend a day at the La Kahea Research Station learning the process of building with upcycled glass bottle bricks and adobe. Inspired by Earthship architecture, the La Kahea team will take you through the process of how to cut and build bottle bricks, what to consider during the design process, how to mix adobe and lay bottle bricks, as well as finishing touches to a bottle brick wall! Students should bring: hat, long shirt, close toed shoes, lunch and plenty drinking water!
