At the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa, whether you have a broken toe or a broken heart, there are services on campus to support the varying needs of students. Student veterans, students with disabilities, student parents, and LGBTQ+ members can find the support they need on-campus. Most of these services are located in the Queen Lili‘uokalani Center for Student Services (QLCSS).

Warrior Recreation Center

SLD is here to help students with all of their involvement, leadership, and co-curricular needs. With SLD students can create clubs, play intramural/recreational sports, enhance your leadership skills and more.

Located at Campus Center, the Warrior Recreation Center is a multilevel gym. It is available for students to take a walk or run on the indoor track, sign up for classes such as dance or boxing, or lift some weights all in one place.

CSDC offers a variety of confidential counseling services such as personal counseling, couples, group counseling, career counseling, peer mentor services, psychiatric consultation and emergency / crisis services to meet the needs of students in support of their academic, career, and personal goals.

Testing The Testing Office administers a number of national examinations throughout the year such as the MAT or LSAT. Office of Multicultural Student Services (OMSS) A multifaceted program that conducts outreach activities encouraging individuals from underrepresented groups and underserved communities to seek higher education as well as experiential activities for University students and the larger community promoting social justice and cross-cultural understanding in Hawai‘i’s multiethnic society.

Student Parents @ Manoa Student Parents at Manoa (SPAM) provides support services and community referrals to help students with children (both fathers and mothers) succeed in their educational goals. SPAM seeks to increase the visibility of and resources for student parents at UH Manoa as they pursue education while parenting. We honor and respect the juggling act student parents perform daily to combine family, work and school.

College Opportunities Program (COP)

PAU Violence

COP is a way for enthusiastic Hawai‘ii residents, who do not meet UH Manoa’s minimum admission and financial requirements, to still have the opportunity to attend the University. Through the completion of a summer program, these students can become a Rainbow Warrior the following fall semester.

The Prevention, Awareness and Understanding (PAU - the Hawaiian word for end or finish) Violence Program exists to inspire, educate, and empower students and campus communities to build safe livinglearning environments, end interpersonal violence, and encourage holistic well-being in ways that are supportive, collaborative, studentcentered, and strengths-based.

Women’s Center

LGBTQ+

Provides personal and academic support for the success of women and LGBT students. The Women’s Center provides crisis and referral services; and connects individuals with on- and off-campus resources, depending on the student’s needs.

Strives to maintain a safe and inclusive campus environment that is free from harassment and discrimination. Through Safe Zone Training or the Rainbow ‘Ohana Program, LGBTQ+ Center also offers individualized professional resource and referral services.

ROTC Programs

The Online Learning Academy (OLA) provides tutoring and mentorship to students in underrepresented groups to promote higher education.

Aerospace Studies (Air Force ROTC) Aerospace Studies is part of the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program. Through this program, full-time students pursue a commission in the U.S. Air Force. Once commissioned as a Second Lieutenant, graduates of the Air Force ROTC program serve on active duty for a specified period of time.

Military Science Army (Army ROTC) The Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program provides full-time college students the opportunity to pursue a commission in the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Reserve, or the Hawai‘i Army National Guard. Naval Science & Leadership (Navy ROTC) Naval Science Leadership (NAVL) is part of the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) program at the University of Hawai‘i Manoa. They also have a mentoring program and a school club called the International Students Association where you can connect with other international students.

Learning Emporium natsci.manoa.hawaii.edu/learning-emporium Located in the College of Natural Sciences, the Learning Emporium offers tutoring in entry level chemistry, math, physics and information and computer science courses. If you have homework you don’t understand or a midterm to study for, the Learning Emporium has resources to help you.

Native Hawaiian Student Services (NHSS) manoa.hawaii.edu/nhss The NHSS is the primary support center for Native Hawaiian students.

They provide academic counseling tutoring, and assistance in finding scholarships.
