UHCL Arts and Special Events Calendar - Fall 2011

Art Gallery The Art Gallery focuses on visual arts to engage, inspire and entertain university and community patrons. Artists featured in the art gallery include university art students and local artisans as well as internationally renowned artists.

Admission is free. Gallery hours are Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Friday, 9 a.m. – noon. The art gallery is on the first floor of the Bayou Building near Atrium I. This comedic duo has performed around the world including televised performances on HBO, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central. The Gizmo Guys performance will be great fun for the whole family.

Celebrating Shuttle: An American Icon

University of Houston-Clear Lake and NASA Johnson Space Center are hosting a NASA photo exhibit celebrating the 30year legacy of the space shuttle program with images from all 135 shuttle missions.

Art School for Children and Young Adults Winnie the Pooh

Throughout the year, students 3½ years old through 12th grade enjoy looking at, talking about and making art. Classes are held at UHCL, as well as in many local after-school settings.

The university’s annual celebration is a moving tribute to all veterans. This event is free and open to the public.
