Meet the Faculty
Lauren Kussro, Assistant Professor of Printmaking, attended the Herron School of Art & Design in Indianapolis for her undergraduate studies, earning a BFA in painting and printmaking. Lauren completed her MFA degree in printmaking at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
Jason Makepeace received his bachelor of arts in sculpture with a minor in art history from College of Charleston in 1997 and received an M.F.A. in sculpture from the University of Houston in May of 2002. Jason has taught sculpture at the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, the University of Houston, and University of Houston-Clear Lake. He currently serves as the UHCL art department’s program director. Jason is an active artist within the Houston art community, with work featured in exhibitions locally, nationally, as well as internationally.

Prior to his appointment at UHCL, Clay Leonard was the Area Head of Ceramics at Bowling Green State University for three years. He earned his Master of Fine Arts in Art with a focus on Ceramics from Bowling Green State University and was nominated for an outstanding thesis award for his thesis exhibition. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in 3-D Studio Arts from Adrian College in Michigan in 2006. Clay Leonard currently serves as Assistant Professor and Area Head of Ceramics at UHCL.


Janet Reynolds earned her BA in Art from Notre Dame College in Manchester, NH. She completed her studies and received an MA in Art Ed from Boston University with a focus on book arts. She has taught art to students in Texas for fifteen years and regulary teaches workshops at The Printing Museum. Her work has been in exhibitions in the U.S., Mexico, and Australia.

Workshop Capacity: 12 per workshop (max 48)
Registration Deadline: June 30th, 2022
Cost: $220 - workshop only
The registration fee will cover all materials for the workshop and parking.

Continuing Professional Education (CPE Credit)
Participants will receive a letter to verify completion of the workshop and will earn up to thirty (30) continuing professional education (CPE) credits.
