Scholarships and Graduate assistantships funded by donations to the Thursday Scholarship Fund make it possible for students to learn and pursue their passions at the Hugh Hodgson School of Music. Please consider a taxdeductible gift to the Thursday Scholarship Fund so we may continue to support our students and make their education possible. Scan the QR code now or reach out to Melissa Roberts at roberts@uga.edu or 706-254-2111.
SUPPORT INDIVIDUAL AREAS OF THE SCHOOL OF MUSIC
In addition to our primary Support and Scholarship Funds, many specialized areas of interest, including our orchestra and choral programs, have support and scholarship funds you can contribute to directly. You can now learn more about all the ways and areas you can support the Hugh Hodgson School of Music. Scan the QR code or visit music.uga.edu/giving-and-alumni to the support the Hugh Hodgson School of Music area of your choice.
JOIN THE DIRECTOR’S CIRCLE
Gifts of all amounts are greatly appreciated. However, annual giving at the $1,500 level and higher provides membership in the Director’s Circle, our Hugh Hodgson School of Music Honor Roll. Director’s Circle members are invited to exclusive events and performances throughout the academic year.
For large gifts, please contact Melissa Roberts at roberts@uga.edu or 706-254-2111.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT OF THE UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA HUGH HODGSON SCHOOL OF MUSIC.

Over the River and Through the Woods
words, Lydia Maria Child
Over the river and through the wood,
To grandmother’s house we go; The horse knows the way to carry the sleigh, Through white and drifted snow!
Over the river and through the wood, Oh, how the wind does blow!
It stings the toes and bites the nose,
As over the ground we go.
Over the river and through the wood,
To have a first-rate play; Oh, hear the bells ring, “Ting-a-ling-ling!”
Hurrah for Thanksgiving Day!
Over the river and through the wood, Trot fast, my dapple gray!
Spring over the ground, Like a hunting hound!
For this is Thanksgiving Day.
SING-ALONG WITH THE BRITISH BRASS BAND
Come, Ye Thankful People, Come Henry Alford/George Elvey
1 Come, ye thankful people, come, Raise the song of harvest home; All is safely gathered in, Ere the winter storms begin. God our Maker doth provide For our wants to be supplied; Come to God’s own temple, come, Raise the song of harvest home.
United Methodist Hymnal, 1989
Home for the Holidays Al Stillman/Robert Allen
Oh, there’s no place like home for the holidays
For no matter how far away you roam
When you long for the sunshine of a friendly gaze
For the holidays you can’t beat home, sweet home
I met a man who lives in Tennessee and he was heading for Pennsylvania and some homemade pumpkin pie
From Pennsylvania folks are traveling down to Dixie’s sunny shore
From Atlantic to Pacific, gee, the traffic is terrific
Oh, there’s no place like home for the holidays
‘Cause no matter how far away you roam
If you want to be happy in a million ways
For the holidays you can’t beat home, sweet home
Happy Holiday words and music, Irving Berlin
Happy holiday, happy holiday
While the merry bells keep ringing
May your ev’ry wish come true
Happy holiday, happy holiday
May the calendar keep bringing Happy holidays to you
