A Message From the Team: The second annual UConn Spring Tip-Off Sale is not only an excellent way for the Dairy Club to raise money to fund our trips and events, but the students have become involved in every level of planning and working the event. Students have traveled across the northeast and worked with many different industry professionals to get our line-up ready for March 11th. We have used the sale to educate students through weekly workshops focused on pedigrees, milk records, registration, animal evaluation, and more. We are beyond excited to welcome everyone on campus this year to celebrate the committee's hard work and watch the auction in person. Thank you to our consigners for trusting us with marketing your animals and embryos. We look forward to watching the festivities unfold on March 11th and hope to see you there.

Any previewing of animals in person must be scheduled with and approved by the seller. TERMS AND PAYMENT Acceptable forms of payment include Cash/ Check/ Wire Transfer (fees may apply) / Credit Card or online payment (additional 3.49% processing fee). Payment must be made in full at the time of sale unless prior written arrangements have been made with the seller and sale management. Lots purchased in absentia or online must have shipping arrangements settled within two weeks of the day of the sale. WARRANTIES Each consignor warrants clear title to the animal or lot, and the right to sell the same. Unless directly expressed in the Holstein Association Terms and Conditions for Public Sales , all lots/ items/ and merchandise sold “as is/ where is’ with no warranties or guarantees either expressed or implied. All sales are final. No Returns or exchanges. No refunds. Auctioneer reserves the right to accept and reject any and all bids. Bidder should be advised that they may experience technical issues with bidding software or internet which may prevent a bid from being communicated to the auctioneer. Wolf Auction Group LLC has sole discretion and authority to declare a lot sold, or not sold. In the event of a dispute between any one or more bidders, the decision of Wolf Auction Group LLC shall be final and absolute. EMBRYO/ SEMEN LOTS All embryo & semen lots will be sold on a per embryo/ per unit basis unless otherwise stated. Buyer must take all units listed in the lot unless otherwise stated. While assistance will be given in helping to arrange shipment and delivery, the final responsibility, and all expenses, for shipping arrangements or pickup of the embryos/semen is that of the buyer. TERMS OF SALE FOR CHOICES 35% down payment made on sale day with remaining 65% due upon selection at no later than four months of age of the youngest animal born in the group from which the selection is made. Seller is responsible for notifying the buyer of birth of calves. Seller is responsible for all registry fees and any other applicable fees to obtain registry certificate. Seller is entitled to $6.00 per day board after four months, based on the age of the youngest calf born in the group from which the selection is made. If the buyer fails to make a selection and take possession within 60 days after the the youngest animal is four months of age and if the seller has notified the buyer by certified mail of the impeding default of the sale and after giving the buyer 10 business days to respond to the certified letter, the sale will then be termed in default and the buyer will lose all rights as purchaser and will forfeit their down payment. Should for any reason a female not be available at the time of selection, the following steps will be taken to fulfill the purchase agreement: o A) Seller will offer the choice of remaining animals of the group from which the selection is to be made. o B) Seller will offer choice of another animal, pregnancy, or future mating, mutually suitable to both buyer and seller. In the case of buyer getting a choice of a future mating, no interest will be charged to the buyer, however, payment schedules will remain the same. o C) If no animals can be made available to the buyer, as in the sale or death of a donor, or the donor's inability to produce embryos; the seller shall provide the buyer a good, healthy, acceptable calf from another cow of equal or greater value as determined by sale management. o D) Any disputes regarding selection of choice purchases are strictly between buyer and seller. Sale management is NOT liable to buyer or seller regarding refund of any sale commission. Sale management will assist in negotiating an mediating on behalf of both buyer and seller in the case of any dispute. TRANSFER AND HEALTH CHARTS It is the sole responsibility of the SELLER to ensure proper and complete transfer of ownership of lot(s) they have sold. Timing will be of the essence. BUYERS are encouraged to contact sellers and also help ensure transfers are made in correct and timely fashion. It is the responsibility of the BUYER to ensure that proper health testing/ health charts have been provided for any purchases if required.
