UEBI AROUND THE WORLD For this is what the Lord has commanded us: “I have made you a light for teh Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.” Acts 13:47 1.- ANTECEDENTES: La Unidad Educativa ha desarrollado el Concurso de Inglés UEBI AROUND THE WORLD, por cuatros años consecutivos, como parte de las estrategias metodológicas para reforzar el Proyecto Bilingüismo mediante las visitas de observación a otros países con la finalidad de que nuestros estudiantes amplíen sus conocimientos del idioma inglés, por medio de la práctica y vivencia individual y grupal, conociendo la historia por medio de visitas a museos, parques y apreciando el maravilloso mundo que Dios nos dio visitando lugares y paisajes turísticos; de esta forma los estudiantes reforzarán la Visión y Misión Institucional. También, es una de las actividades planificadas de Resultados de Logros de Aprendizaje Esperados (LAES), como una evaluación de lo que han aprendido. Dentro de la Integración Bíblica como objetivo del área es, comunicar y llevar un mensaje de buenas nuevas de Salvación por medio de evangelización y comunicación por medio de este idioma también. Debido a la pandemia del COVID-19 y a la gran demanda para renovación y obtención de visas americanas no será posible tener como destino los Estados Unidos de América, dado que las citas se generan con fecha del 2023; por esta razón las autoridades del plantel han decidido, por este año, cambiar el destino al país de Colombia. Para que el escogimiento sea justo para los beneficiarios de este proyecto, se realizará una selección interna. 2.- DE LOS OBJETIVOS: OBJETIVO GENERAL: Fortalecer las destrezas de expresión (speaking, reading, listening and writing) mediante una vivencia práctica y real en un colegio bilingüe en el lugar de destino, con nuestro lema: “Lo que aprendemos hoy, lo aplicamos hoy” OBJETIVOS ESPECÍFICOS: Adquirir conocimientos históricos, culturales y lingüísticos con la visita a otros países. Compartir nuestra visión y misión con otras personas y familias del país de destino. Experimentar nuevas vivencias personales, académicas y sociales.
3.-DE LOS PARTICIPANTES PROCESO DE SELECCIÓN: Estudiantes de los Segundos y Terceros de Bachillerato debidamente matriculados y que estén asistiendo normalmente a sus clases. Estudiantes que tengan un promedio de 9.00/10 o superior a este, en el Primer Quimestre del Año Lectivo 2021-2022. Desarrollo Comportamental A Que no haya sido parte de la delegación que ha viajado en años anteriores. Por situación de pandemia deberán tener carnet de vacunación y/o prueba PCR negativa. Historial académico y comportamental. 4.-DEL NÚMERO DE GANADORES (CUPO) Se premiará entre 10 y 12 estudiantes beneficiarios del viaje, divididos en: 6 estudiantes de Segundos de Bachillerato y 6 de Terceros de Bachillerato.
5.- DE LA INSCRIPCIÓN: FECHA: Se realizará el día lunes 7 de marzo hasta las 12h00. LUGAR: Secretaría de la institución, donde se verificará si cumple con todos los requisitos y se entregará los temas de preparación.
6.-DE LA EVALUACIÓN: Se divide en dos fases: a.- PREPARACIÓN E INVESTIGACIÓN DE LOS TEMAS: Se entregará el nombre de tres temas en Secretaría, el momento de la inscripción. b.- REALIZACIÓN DE UN ENSAYO REPRESENTA EL 50% DE LA NOTA. • • •

La Institución asumirá el 100% del costo total del ticket aéreo, en tanto que los padres de familia asumirán el coto de hospedaje, alimentación y entradas a lugares turísticos.
