He is considered a god who gives you fortune, wealth and commerce. Whoever worships Thao Wessuwan will bring many fortunes to himself, riches, good years, and enhance luck.
ทาวเวสสุวรรณ A highlight of Udon Thani that is not to be missed is Udon Thani Walking Street. There is a wide variety of products including handmade goods, clothing, food, pets, second-hand items, souvenirs and much more. Walking Street is located on Athipbodi Road, from the front of City Hall to Udon Thani Municipality Office, between 5 and 10 p.m. every Friday and Saturday. In addition to coming for a walk or shopping, you can also visit and pay respect to the City Pillar Shrine, the Buddha-Pho Thong image, the giant Thao Wessuwan and Grandfather and Grandmother Shrine, all sacred things that Udon Photo: Freebird Photo people worship.

ปลดล็อคกัญชา Cannabis Legalized Cannabis was legalized in Thailand on June 9th. According to public health announcements, people are now allowed to plant and use cannabis as they desire. The main objective is to focus on medical benefits, health care, and economic value creation. Both marijuana and hemp have been removed from the list of illegal drugs, but those who wish to grow "marijuana" must notify the government via the "cannabis planting" app (Plookganja) or the website plookganja.fad.moph.go.th to inform the FDA.

Which parts are legal? • The non-narcotic parts, blossoms, bark, stems, fibers, branches, roots, leaves, fresh or dried, cannabis rubber, cannabis residue. • The illegal drug component is cannabis/hemp extract with a THC content greater than 0.2%. • You can smoke marijuana in private, but smoking in public is prohibited as “disturbing the rights of others,” an offense under the Public Health Act B.E. 2535, for which the penalty is imprisonment not exceeding three months, and/or a fine not exceeding 25,000 baht.

Many research studies from around the world have shown that medical marijuana helps to heal and relieve the symptoms of many serious diseases, as well as to relieve stress and anxiety. It is also used in cancer and AIDS treatment to reduce nausea and vomiting from chemotherapy, and to increase appetite. It helps to reduce pain, both sudden and chronic, and can reduce the symptoms of multiple sclerosis (MS).

Marijuana can help to control epilepsy as well as to reduce eye pressure in glaucoma patients. Further, it is now used in the prevention and treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease, and can relieve anxiety. The use of cannabis should be studied carefully, and used only in the prescribed dosage, even when mixed in food and drink. Overdosing is unsafe, and can result in negative effects on one’s health.

Getting around Udon is both easy and cheap. Samlors (also called tuk-tuks) are three wheeled motorcycles with a place to sit in the back, -- hire them the same way as taxis. Motorcycle taxis are what you would expect, -- ride on the back of a motorcycle that takes you exactly where you want to go.

Taxis, You can telephone for one or hail it on the street. Songtaews are small pickup trucks which run along fixed routes. Hail one when you want to get on. Udon Thani is the second largest city in northeast Thailand. Formerly known as Ban Makkaeng, Udon Thani was first settled as a military base led by Prince Prajak to crack down on a minority uprising in the northeastern state. Ban Makkaeng has evolved from a rural city into what is now known as Udon Thani. Map references on this page refer to the Udon Thani Map, available wherever you get the Udon Thani Guide.

The park was recently given a facelift by the local government. Here you will find a running/walking track, children’s play area and grassy picnic areas. A nice place to get away from the busy central area.

The province contains several tourist attractions including Ban Chiang (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and the Phu Phra Bat Historical Park. Wat Pa Phu Kon วัดปาภูกอ น Here you will find a large, marble, reclining Buddha statue, approximately 20 meters long. The cost for the temple complex, 320 million baht, was donated by a woman who believed that she saw a profile of the Reclining Buddha in the shapes of the mountain ridges, and was inspired by it. The temple is located in a thousand rai forest.

About 18 km. from -Udon is a series of flower villages, sort of like large outdoor greenhouses. There are more the 30 different types of flowers to see here, take beautiful pictures, and buy to take home.

A beautiful 76,000 acre park located on a plateau about 75 minutes from Udon. Along with all the usual things you would expect to find in a park, you will find numerous full-sized statues of dinosaurs!!

Kham Chanot is a beautiful and dense deciduous forest and temple 75 km from Udon Thani. It is said to be home to Naga, a snake-like serpent that made its way here via underground tunnels from the Mekong River.

Phu Phra Bat Historical Park covers around 1,200 acres. In addition to the beautiful landscape, caves and caverns, rocks of different sizes and shapes dot the area. Pre-historic cave paintings have also been discovered.

Red Lotus Lake

The Red Lotus Lake is about 45 minutes by car from Udon city to Baan Diam Piar, the most popular tourist spot. The lotus plants will bloom between December and March of each year. The plants bloom from the early morning until about 11 am.
Shopping in Udon Thani For general shopping head to the fountain circle area. Here you will find a wholesale clothing market, gold shops, Chinese medicine shops and handicraft shops. Udon boasts some excellent night markets to the north and south of the train station area. They are open from early evening until 11pm every night and sell everything from clothes and food to gifts and gadgets. Each market has its own beer garden area with live music and nightly entertainment. For indoor, air-conditioned shopping, Central Plaza offers a good selection of shops and restaurants. UD Town, near the train station, is an attractive open air shopping street with a good selection of restaurants. On the eastern ring road you will find a new fully air-conditioned clothing factory outlet. For DIY, building accessories and furniture, check out Global House, Home Pro, Tool Pro and the Index Living Mall on the eastern Ring Road. Udon has several supermarkets such as Big C, Tesco Lotus, Tang Ngee Soon, Makro and Topps.

Na Yung-Nam Som National Park There is an area covering the boundary area of 3 provinces. Visit point here are Pha Daeng view point and Yung Thong Waterfall The visit will go along the forest path that the Department of National Parks has set, which Yung Thong Waterfall is located about 500 meters from the office. It is a beautiful waterfall during the rainy season because it is during the period that there is a lot of water fall along the high cliff below into a pool that can be played but should not be able to swim during the flood because it is very dangerous.

Attraction Khiri Wong Kot Village Khiri Wong Kot Village is a small village in the midst of nature in the green mountains of Na Yung - Nam Som National Park, about 160 km. from Udon Thani. Go up the hill to reach the waterfall area. When you arrive, there will be local style food to serve, grilled fish, papaya salad, grilled chicken, orange curry, fruit, buffet style. The cost of chartering a car which can seat five people is 1,500 baht. There are also homestays here for those who want to spend a night in authentic surroundings.

Map If you are not tired yet, continue on to the Khoi Nang Waterfall located in the eponymous Khoi Nang Waterfall Forest Park, only 18 km. away from Than Ngam Waterfall. There are two levels, the first level about four meters high and the second more than five. It is a very beautiful waterfall with a wide stone courtyard, suitable for sitting and relaxing. Not far from the waterfall there is a cliff about 20 meters high that attracts tourists to see the fertile surroundings.

Uncle Phan is the youngest child of my grandmother. Grandma has five children. My mother was the eldest and Uncle Phan is the youngest. Grandma is a very lazy person, and selfish, too. Therefore, responsibility for taking care of my Uncle Phan fell to my mother.

Life in Thailand In reality, my mother is Uncle Phan’s sister. But it is my mother who is responsible for raising Uncle Phan as if she were his mother. With a fifteen year age difference between my mother and Uncle Phan, my mother and father worked in the fields and sent Uncle Phan to a teacher's college. I remember that Grandfather had to sell some plots of land to pay for his tuition. After he graduated from school, I didn't see him looking for any work. Year after year, he claimed that he was waiting for the teacher examination. Even though I'm very young, even I figured out that he doesn't intend to study. When he graduated, he received low grades. When he went to take the teacher's exam, he didn’t study, and hasn't been able to pass the exam for many years. Refusing to go looking for a job, or even just looking for something to do to fill time, he just stays at home and does nothing. He even refuses to help with work on the family farm. In an Issan family like ours, men are considered more important and have all the privileges. Even worse, because he is the youngest son, he considered to be even more important. So he is comfortable, eats and sleeps, and never has to do anything This must be the reason why I am so disgusted with his attitude that the world owes him a good and easy life. My attitude is very different from his. I have the attitude that I owe the world to leave it better than it was when I arrived, -- cleaner air, more abundant food, and the like. We should be grateful for the good and comfortable lives that we have.

Why don't you open your eyes and see what color gown I am wearing?” The hand, my hand, that was handing the bouquet of red roses to Uncle Phan paused for a moment. He took the bouquet of roses with a dissatisfied look on his face. I lost face that day at his graduation. I know what color Uncle Phan’s gown is. Graduation gowns of remote learning at Sukhothai Thammathirat University are green with gold stripes. But I don't see any problem with a bouquet of red roses. At Christmas time at the church, the Christmas tree is green with red flowers.

Life in Thailand Most importantly, it's not just flowers. It's also a matter of kindness, because the money that I spent to buy roses for him was the last money I had. I am still a student at a Christian college. I am studying in the second year. The little money I have is the money I earn helping at church on Sundays. Mom never sent me money because I wasn't her favorite. I share my money with my uncle. So it's scarce and precious to me. But when I saw a large bouquet of red roses for sale in front of the university, I wanted to buy it for him. I wanted him to have a bouquet of flowers like the other graduates. I chose a large bouquet, the most beautiful and expensive one there. He probably didn't think about this after that day. But it has always been etched in my memory. I tell myself that this is an example of what separates the small from the great. Since then, when someone gives me something I accept it with gratitude, knowing that the kindness of the giver is more important than the gift, and gratitude is something I have always cultivated in my son's life.

I hate to say it, but I have caught Covid-19 and so has all my family. I thought I was being socially responsible and selfless in my actions, but we all caught Covid-19. How can that be? Two years trapped in Cambodia, and not even a cold! First my son caught it at work. He was quick enough to realise that a colleague had it and self-isolated by sleeping on the roof of our house, in a tent. That seemed to work, and everyone else in the family was safe. Food left on the stairs, rubbish put in red plastic bags, what could go wrong?

My wife gave me grief as I got in and banished me to isolate in the bedroom. ชีวิตในประเทศไทย So what have I learned? Not a lot, really. We are told to follow the science, but the science does not seem to be exact. There were wonderful theories as to why certain countries suffered with Covid-19 more than others. I was a true believer at one stage that it had to do with latitude and the way that certain cultures dealt with parasitic diseases, but that idea went out the window after about eighteen months when we all seemed to get sick across the globe.

Now we have something new on the horizon. We haven’t finished with Covid-19 and Monkey Pox has decided to pay a visit. It seems that we are constantly living under some kind of threat. I can’t think why. I saw a meme on Facebook blaming this latest menace on Charlton Heston kissing Kim Hunter in the 1968 Planet of the Apes film, but I am not so sure. There’s more to this monkey business than meets the eye.
