Those events marked with an require the purchase of festival tokens. Attention: > unused tokens will not be refunded; > many events have a limited number of places so we recommend going early to ensure access to the event; > entrance will be granted in order of arrival; > possession of tokens does not guarantee access to the event if there are no more seats available; > it is not possible to reserve access to activities; > many activities have dual location to accommodate changes in the weather. La mostra mercato "Made in Asia" è una festa per tutti e anche per i cinque i sensi: ascoltare, ammirare, respirare, gustare e toccare con mano la tradizione asiatica sarà un’esperienza straordinaria. The much-loved FEFF Market returns, hosting Asian-themed stalls in the first weekend of April and the work of the best local designers the week after. Our "Made in Asia" market is a celebration for all five senses: an extraordinary experience of hearing, seeing, breathing, tasting and touching Asian tradition. Visitors can buy their own small (or large) treasures and take home a piece of the Far East with them. On the stalls you’ll find Japanese kimonos, precious Thai handicrafts, traditional sake, lucky Maneki Nekos, comics and gadgets from the world of manga and loads of Asian food. Nelson Rojas prende come ispirazione l’opera teatrale cinese "The Drunken Beauty" la quale mette in evidenza emozioni e sentimenti con forti espressioni e nobili gesti. Tutto questo, assieme alla tecnica del maestro Suzuki, sono servite a dare vita a "The Sense" quadro del teatro dell’assurdo che usa uno speciale linguaggio per mostrare situazioni sottili che influenzano i rapporti interpersonali. Proposta completamente artistica che narra una storia di quotidianità famigliare portata ad un’altra dimensione che ha come finalità quella di invitarci ad essere consapevoli dell’indispensabile importanza di amare adesso, di amare ora! Nelson Rojas takes as his inspiration "The Drunken Beauty," a Chinese play which portrays emotions and feelings with powerful words and noble gestures. This, together with the technique of maestro Suzuki, helped create "The Sense" a piece of theatre of the absurd that uses a special language to show how subtle situations affect interpersonal relationships. TENUGUI: UN ASCIUGAMANO PER MILLE USI A TOWEL WITH A THOUSAND USES by Mami Hamada
Venite a scoprire come il Tenugui, tipico asciugamano giapponese, veniva usato molti secoli fa e come ancora oggi si può adattare alle diverse necessità. La parola Tenugui é formata da "te" che significa "mano" e "nugui" che significa "pulire/asciugare". È un tipico asciugamano giapponese di cotone dalla forma rettangolare ed avente le dimensioni di cm 35x90. Sicuramente i fan di manga ed anime hanno già avuto modo di notare questo oggetto in varie scene di fumetti e cartoni. In origine veniva usato durante le cerimonie ed i rituali religiosi, oppure nel teatro kabuki e nel kendo. Come and discover how the Tenugui, the traditional Japanese towel, was used centuries ago and how it can still can be used today. The name Tenugui is formed by te, meaning "hand", and nugui, meaning "clean/dry". Originally used during ceremonies and religious rituals or in the kabuki theater and kendo, it is a typical 35x90 cm rectangular Japanese cotton towel which every manga and anime fan will know from its frequent appearances in comics and cartoons. Uno sposalizio fra la musica cinese tradizionale e quella occidentale celebrato dai Friulani Pelagia Noctiluca, un complesso, formato dai giovanissimi Michele Cesaratto, Roberto Mezzaroma e Alessandro Gazzola, che proporrà musica tradizionale cinese. Il Guqin sarà lo strumento principale che verrà accompagnato durante la serata da voci, flauti, tamburi e cimbali. Il complesso eseguirà, inoltre, dei brani originali del gruppo, delle improvvisazioni e dei brani tradizionali ricomposti. A marriage between traditional Chinese and Western music celebrated by Friulani Pelagia Noctiluca, a group formed by the young Michele Cesaratto, Roberto Mezzaroma and Alessandro Gazzola, which will be playing traditional Chinese music. The lead instrument will be the Guqin, which will be accompanied during the evening by voices, flutes, drums and cymbals. The group will also perform their own songs as well as improvised pieces and reworkings of traditional pieces.

Verranno eseguite tre danze tradizionali filippine: il Binuyugan, danza della regione Ilokano di Pangasinan, viene eseguito come celebrazione dell’abbondanza; il Sayaw Sa Cuyo, originario di Palawan, capitale dell’isola Cuyo, viene tipicamente ballato durante la Sagra di Sant’Agostino dell’isola. Infine la danza nazionale delle Filippine, il Tinikling o danza di bambù, il cui nome fa riferimento agli uccelli noti localmente come "tikling". Nel dialetto di Mae Hongson, provincia settentrionale thailandese patria di quest’ultimo ballo, ter significa "ombrello". Traditional Thai dances performed by young women who, through gesture and movement, act out stories of the battle between good and evil. Performances will include the Hak Bao Esan Tai, a dance common at festivities in the northeast of Thailand, and the Forn Ter, a typical dance of northern Thailand, also performed during festivities. Creiamo un videogioco narrativo: la produzione del gioco sarà svolta in gruppo e comprenderà attività quali la scrittura della sceneggiatura, la realizzazione della grafica e la scelta dell’accompagnamento sonoro. Il workshop si rivolge a quanti sono interessati al videogioco narrativo come mezzo espressivo e desiderano confrontarsi con un progetto concreto, oltre a chi ha intrapreso un percorso in altre discipline creative (arti visive, cinema, graphic design, illustrazione, musica, sceneggiatura, scrittura) ed intende esplorarne l’applicazione nei videogiochi. L’iscrizione al workshop non richiede specifiche competenze tecniche. È necessario portare il proprio laptop. Il costo del laboratorio è di €50. Quest’esposizione lo mostra declinato secondo due linguaggi alternativi a quello del videogioco, esprimendone i contenuti dalla prospettiva del fumetto e da quella del cinema d’animazione, tramite illustrazioni che, come ipotetici fotogrammi di un lungometraggio o tavole di albo, ne catturino l’essenza. How would the world of Super Mario look if it wasn’t "just" the famous videogame we know? This exhibition answers the question in two non-videogame languages, showing its contents from the perspective of comics and from that of animation cinema using illustrations resembling hypothetical frames from a feature film or panels from comics to capture its essence. L’intervento vuole stimolare un dibattito tra videogiocatori e cosplayer intorno a "Castlevania: Symphony of the Night" (Konami, 1997), un gioco che fonde elementi di immaginari mitologici e letterari di varie tradizioni, canoni e autori: dal gotico all’horror, dal mito greco a H. P. Lovecraft, da Sheridan Le Fanu a Kurt Vonnegut. La riflessione si avvia intorno ai modi in cui una produzione giapponese nasce con un carattere rivolto a un pubblico internazionale, manifestando caratteri "orientali" e, al contempo, esotizzando il vampiro occidentale. The talk aims to stimulate discussion between gamers and cosplayers about Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (Konami, 1997), a video game which blended elements of various literary and mythological traditions, from the Greek myths to H. P. Lovecraft and from J. Sheridan Le Fanu to Kurt Vonnegut. "Visual Novels" are a very popular genre of video game in Asia which are based around narration and often posses a ramified structure allowing for multiple endings. Il Senryu è un genere di poesia Giapponese, "cugino" dell'Haiku, ha la sua stessa forma, ma è diverso per contenuti. Descrive soprattutto la natura umana. Anche quando tratta di animali, insetti, piante, oggetti inanimati, pone l’attenzione sugli attributi umani. Rispetto all’Haiku, percepito come poesia alta, oggi in Giappone il Senryu viene considerato un genere popolare, in cui molti provano a cimentarsi con l'intento di divertirsi. Durante il laboratorio si tratteranno le sue origini (18° secolo), lo sviluppo nel corso dei secoli e la situazione odierna. Ci si focalizzerà principalmente sul Banno Senryu Club e sul Kiyari Senryu club di Tokyo. The Senryu is a genre of Japanese poetry - a "cousin" of the Haiku in form but different in content – which deals principally with human nature, even when it speaks about animals, insects, plants and inanimate objects. With respect to the Haiku, which is seen as "high" poetry, in Japan today the Senryu is considered a working-class form which many attempt to write purely with the aim of amusement. In the workshop we will examine its origins (18th century), its development over the centuries and the Senryu today, looking mainly at Tokyo’s Banno Senryu Club and Kiyari Senryu clubs. Hanetsuki is a traditional Japanese game played with colorful shuttlecocks and rectangular rackets called Hagoita decorated with lacquer. According to tradition, the longer the shuttlecock remains in the air, the longer the players will receive protection from mosquitoes during the year. Lo Shibari o Kinbaku è l’arte giapponese di legare una persona con delle corde. Questa forma artistica ha origini molto antiche: nelle tradizionali cerimonie religiose giapponesi è sempre stato usuale includere corde e legamenti non solo per simboleggiare le connessioni tra umano e divino, ma anche per demarcare lo spazio ed il tempo del sacro. Durante questa lezione pratica introduttiva si esploreranno i principi e le legature base per comporre con il corpo e le corde. Si consiglia un abbigliamento comodo; le corde verranno fornite all’incontro. Shibari or Kinbaku is the Japanese art of tying up a person with ropes. This artform has very ancient origins: traditional Japanese religious ceremonies have often used ropes and knots to symbolise the connections between the human and the divine, as well as to demarcate the space and time of what is sacred. In this practical introductory lesson we will explore the basic principles, knots and ropes. We recommend comfortable clothing - ropes will be provided. Si tratta di un disegno tracciato utilizzando solamente le sfumature dell'inchiostro per creare le opportune gradazioni e chiaroscuri. Il Sumie nacque in Cina nella seconda metà del periodo della dinastia Tang (705-907 d.C) come tecnica del genere pittorico chiamata Sansuiga ("pittura di montagne e acque", ovvero pittura di paesaggi). Successivamente la tecnica, raggiunse il Giappone e si legò alla filosofia zen. In periodo Muromachi (13361573 d.C.), con la nascita della scuola Kanô, avvenne la cosidetta giapponesizzazione del Suibokuga. Imparare le tecniche di questa splendida arte sarà un'esperienza memorabile. Max 10 partecipanti. Sumie is a way of drawing using only various concentrations of ink to create the desired chiaroscuro effects. Sumie originated in Cina in the second half of the Tang dynasty (705-907 A.D.) as a painting technique called Sansuiga ("pictures of mountains and water", or landscapes). Successively, the technique arrived in Japan and became linked to Zen philosophy. With the appearance of the Kanô school in the Muromachi period (1336-1573 A.D.), the so-called "Japanesation" of Suibokuga took place. Chang Yen-Yuan (847 d.C.) afferma che la pittura ebbe origine dalla natura e che essa favorisca la cultura e i principi di rettitudine e insegnamento morale. La calligrafia, la pittura e la poesia diventano un unico mezzo per il letterato - che è contemporaneamente poeta e pittore - per raffigurare la natura: il soggetto principale. Attraverso l’uso del pennello intriso di inchiostro preferibilmente nero, è possibile realizzare un ramo di pesco, un fiore, un uccello o un pesce per rappresentare un particolare stato d’animo o un pensiero. Maurizio Faleschini, illustratore, maestro d’arte ed esperto di arti marziali, dirigerà il laboratorio per la realizzazione dei soggetti classici della pittura cinese. Chang Yen-Yuan (847 A.D.) said that painting originated from nature and that it promotes culture and principles of righteousness and moral teaching. Calligraphy, painting and poetry become a single way for the writer - who is both poet and painter - to depict the principal subject: nature. Through the use of the brush soaked in ink, preferably black, it is possible to create the branch of peach tree, a flower, a bird or a fish to represent a certain mood or thought. Yuzen è una tecnica tradizionale giapponese utilizzata per la decorazione dei kimono e basata sull'uso dell'amido. Mettendo infatti l'amido sulla linea del disegno di base si blocca la tinta permettendo di dipingere con un colore, vicino ad un altro diverso, senza ottenere sbavature, creando un effetto pittorico. Si possono così usare tanti colori contornati da una bella linea continua che mette in risalto il disegno, arricchendo la stoffa con le più svariate fantasie. Utilizzando questa tecnica è possibile eseguire quadri, tende e molto altro. Durante il laboratorio sarà realizzato un disegno su seta. Max 10 partecipanti. Yuzen is a traditional Japanese technique of kimono decoration based on the use of starch (itomenorioki). A coating of starch isolates the dye, allowing different colours to be used alongside one another without bleeding together, producing a pictorial effect. This allows the use of various colours surrounded by a clear line which highlights the image, covering the fabric with the most diverse range of patterns. Queste piante hanno il compito di dare risalto all’elemento principale e con esse, anche la forma e la dimensione del vaso che le contiene concorre ad armonizzarle con l’intera composizione. During the workshop, participants will mould clay freehand to create small vessels of the most varied forms but with the characteristics for Kusamono and Shitakusa, the plant compositions known as "pet plants" and usually used as an accompaniment for bonsai. These plants have the task of highlighting the principal element and the shape and the size of the vessel that contains them, helping them harmonize with the entire composition. L’Ikebana è l’arte giapponese della disposizione dei fiori recisi. Il significato della parola Ikebana è "fiori viventi". Essa è nota in tutto il mondo come tradizionale arte giapponese, praticata da più di 600 anni. Si è sviluppata come rituale buddista per offrire dei fiori alle anime dei defunti. Attualmente gli stili più popolari sono Ikenobo, Ohara, So-getsu. La conferenza illustrerà sia l’origine, sia le basi storiche, sia i simboli religiosi/filosofici su cui si basa la sua tecnica compositiva. Nel contempo gli aspetti teorici saranno esemplificati dall’esecuzione di due composizioni.

I bonsai sono dunque natura viva, piccoli alberi che nonostante le dimensioni contenute esprimono tutta l’energia che è racchiusa in una pianta grande. I partecipanti a questo laboratorio saranno guidati dal Bonsai Club di Udine, che è il primo club di questo tipo fondato nel Triveneto.
Nel XVI secolo nacque in Giappone un gioco di carte molto particolare, Hanafuda. Un gioco senza re, né regine, ma iris, ciliegi e salici, poesie e leggende, simile ad un erbario meraviglioso dove fiori e piante svelano un tesoro di riferimenti mitologici, letterari e paesaggistici. Sopravvivendo ai secoli, diventerà il primo grande successo di Véronique Brindeau che mese per mese ne svela i segreti. Presenterà il libro Lorenzo Casadei e Mitsugu Harada.
The technique of Bonsai, created in China and perfected in Japan, is linked to what is called Seishi: the art of giving shape, cultivating and practicing the most diverse techniques while always respecting the plant. Bonsai are therefore living nature tiny trees which, despite their small size, harbour all the energy of a much larger plant. The workshop will be hosted by the Bonsai Club of Udine, the first club of its kind established in Triveneto.
Ikebana – which means "living flowers" - is the Japanese art of cut flower arrangement, and is known all over the world as a traditional Japanese art practiced for over 600 years since it began as a Buddhist ritual of offering flowers to the dead. Today, the most popular stylesare Kenobo, Ohara and So-getsu. The talk will explain its origins and historical foundations, and the theoretical side of Ikebana will be demonstrated with the execution of two compositions.
In the sixteenth century, a very special card game appeared in Japan - Hanafuda. A game without a king or queens but with iris, cherry trees, willows, poems and legends, like a wonderful herbarium where flowers and plants reveal a treasure chest of mythological, literary and scenic references. Surviving the centuries, it would become the first major success of Véronique Brindeau who, month by month, reveals its secrets. The book will be presented by Lorenzo Casadei and Mitsugu Harada.

Ul laboratorio video intensivo per raccontare con le immagini il Far East Film Festival sotto la guida del filmmaker professionista: Andrea Mura. Le immagini sono la forma di racconto della realtà più efficace e gratificante. Narrare per immagini aiuta a trasformare le idee complesse in semplici, a trasmettere emozioni, a divertirsi, a fare squadra, a imparare, favorendo la conoscenza connettiva e la creatività combinatoria. Sotto la guida di un filmmaker, gli allievi documenteranno persone ed eventi del primo weekend di uno dei festival più importanti al mondo. Il risultato sarà presentato al pubblico. Sarà consentito l’uso di smartphone ai fini di produzione delle immagini video. Il laboratorio si svolge negli spazi del Visionario. Chi dice che la poesia non è adatta ai bambini? Questo appuntamento vi dimostrerà il contrario! Un corso giocoso con gli haiku – il componimento poetico giapponese - per sviluppare la fantasia. La cerimonia del tè (cha no yu – acqua calda per il tè) è un rito sociale e spirituale praticato in Giappone. È indicato anche come chado oppure sado (via del té). Il rito che oggi conosciamo lo si deve per lo più a Sen no rikyu (1520-1591). Esiste una cerimonia più lunga, quella del tè denso, ed una cerimonia più breve e meno complessa, quella del tè leggero. In questo appuntamento verrà proposta una breve cerimonia in cui potrete assaporare un’ottima tazza di té accompagnata da un dolce giapponese guidati dall’esperta Mami Hamada. Verrà spiegato inoltre l’uso del tè verde Macha. The tea ceremony (cha no yu – hot water for the tea) is a Japanese social and spiritual ritual known also as chado or sado (the Way of Tea). The best-known ceremony today is that of Sen no Rikyu (1520-1591). There is a longer ceremony – the one for thick tea – and a shorter and less complex ceremony – the one for light tea. The event will consist of a short ceremony where participants will be able to sample a delicious cup of tea and a Japanese pastry in the company of expert Mami Hamada, who will also explain the use of green Macha tea. La cucina orientale è pervasa da aromi che in Occidente non esistono o sono stati importati da poco tempo, e che contribuiscono a darle quel senso di unicità e fascino. Un incontro in cui i partecipanti potranno conoscere e distinguere questi esotici ingredienti in cucina, mettendo alla prova i propri sensi. Spices, aromatic substances of vegetable and generally exotic origin, are used to flavor and season foods and drinks - as well, especially in days gone by, as in medicine and pharmaceuticals. Oriental cuisine exudes aromas that do not exist or have only been recently introduced to the West, and which help give a sense of uniqueness and charm. Il panino verrà venduto presso il bar del teatro Nuovo e presso il bar del cinema Visionario. Adottando lo stesso criterio della valutazione dei film dei festival (premio del pubblico), anche a chi consumerà il panino verrà consegnata una scheda di voto; il cuoco vincitore del contest verrà proclamato all’interno della Closing Night del festival (29 aprile). Le edizioni 2015 e 2016 del concorso sono state vinte da Andrea Zuccolo di Caffè Tomaso… Chi sarà la cintura nera del panino 2017? The third edition of the contest which offers visitors and citizens of Udine a gourmet sandwich based around a fusion of local and Asian products. Thanks to the involvement of Turismo del Vino Fvg, the sandwich will be paired with one glass of white wine and one glass of red wine chosen from those of the companies participating in the initiative. The sandwich will be sold at the theatre bar and at the Cinema Visionario bar. Adopting the same criterion as the film festival (an audience award), those buying a sandwich will be given a voting slip: the winner of the contest will be announced during the closing night of the festival (April 29). The 2015 and 2016 editions of the competition were won by Andrea Zuccolo of Caffè Tomaso... Who will be the black belt sandwich maker of 2017? I Bagni di Gong sono veri e propri bagni vibrazionali che ci aiutano a ritrovare noi stessi, favorendo uno stato di pace interiore profonda. In occidente siamo abituati a sentir parlare moltissimo dell’agopuntura come pratica medica proveniente dalla Cina. Ma la Medicina Cinese, poiché tende a curare l’individuo e non il sintomo, possiede altre tecniche terapeutiche usate da millenni che si integrano meravigliosamente con l’agopuntura. Fitoterapia cinese, Dietetica, Tui na, coppettazione, Qi Gong, sono tutti strumenti che hanno il comune obiettivo di ristabilire l’equilibrio del corpo, utilizzabili dopo un’attento ascolto della persona e dopo un’accurata diagnosi. In the West, we are used to hearing about the Chinese medical practice of acupuncture, but Chinese Medicine – which tends to treat the individual and not the symptom - possesses other therapeutic techniques which have been used for thousands of years and which work beautifully together with acupuncture. Chinese herbal and dietary medicine, Tui na, cupping and Qigong are all tools which have the common goal of restoring balance to the body and can be used after carefully listening to and carefully diagnosing the patient.
La mindfulness (presenza mentale o consapevolezza) è una tecnica per la riduzione dello stress che si basa sulla pratica dell’attenzione consapevole. Essa è utilizzata in ambito educativo, medico e psicologico per migliorare la gestione dello stress in soggetti con diverse forme di disagio fisico o psicologico e, più in generale, per migliorare il benessere psicofisico e la qualità di vita dei praticanti. L’incontro è dedicato all’esplorazione teorica dei fondamenti neuroscientifici e psicologici della meditazione mindfulness e terminerà con uno spazio esperienziale dove sarà introdotta la pratica. Mindfulness is a technique for reducing stress that relies on the conscious practice of aware attention. It is used in education, medicine and psychology to improve the management of stress in patients suffering from various forms of physical or psychological distress and, more generally, to improve practitioners’ wellbeing and quality of life. The workshop is dedicated to a theoretical examination of the neuroscientific and psychological foundations of mindfulness meditation and will conclude with an experiential space where the practice will be demonstrated. The most important feature of traditional Chinese Tuinà massage is the examination of the patient, from which their "inner energy" can be seen. Osannato dalla critica d’arte e letteraria Yoshiharu Tsuge (1937) è tra i maggiori autori di fumetto di tutti i tempi. A trent’anni dal suo ritiro dalle scene e nell’ottantesimo anno dalla sua nascita, Canicola edizioni in collaborazione con il Far East Film Festival, presenta in Italia "L’uomo senza talento" (1986) opera cruciale per il manga moderno che mescola realismo a squarci surreali e grotteschi. Il romanzo è un watakushi manga, un "fumetto dell’io" denso di introspezione, e si può considerare un capolavoro assoluto del genere, e il canto del cigno della straordinaria carriera di Tsuge che ritiratosi dalle scene nel 1987 è diventato figura di culto in Giappone e nel resto del mondo. La mostra allestita al Visionario si pone come omaggio al grande maestro giapponese attraverso un’esposizione divisa in isole tematiche del libro. Le sezioni saranno aperte da grandi manifesti disegnati che faranno da "copertina" e introduzione alle sezioni. Si tratta del tributo di autori del nostro fumetto contemporaneo come Andrea Bruno, Vincenzo Filosa, Fabio Ramiro Rossin, Michelangelo Setola e dell’argentino Berliac, tra i principali "gekiga gaijin" della scena internazionale. Thirty years after his retirement, and in his eightieth year, Canicola Edizioni in collaboration with the Far East Film Festival, presents the Italian version of "The Man Without Talent" (1986), a crucial work for modern Manga which mixes realism with the surreal and the grotesque. The novel is a Watakushi manga, an "ego comic" dense with introspection, and is considered a masterpiece of the genre and the swan song of the extraordinary Tsuge, who retired in 1987, becoming a cult figure in Japan and the rest of the world. Dedicata all’idea di paradosso e di contraddizione nella cultura estremo-orientale, Paradoxa è una mostra d’arte contemporanea che ogni anno esplora uno dei contesti nazionali di quell’area. L’edizione 2017 affronta il tema dell’oscurità e del suo valore dialettico per la cultura e l’arte contemporanea cinese. Oscurità e buio, come temi da sempre associati alla filosofia e alle religione cinese, sono divenuti oggi un modo per rivelare alcuni aspetti contraddittori della modernità e della visione della personalità in Cina. Da superpotenza dell’economia globale, essa mantiene infatti una relazione controversa con il suo passato e con l’individualità della persona, che in questa mostra viene messa in luce, attraverso l’oscurità, come una questione d’importanza filosofica, psicologica, estetica: una sorta di controparte del radioso processo di sviluppo economico e tecnologico cinese, spesso rappresentato come dirompente e inarrestabile. In mostra sono esposte le opere di tre artisti: i video allegorici e ricchi di suspence di Cheng Ran; le fotografie incantate e misteriose di Chen Wei; le immagini ambigue e oscure di Xie Nanxing.
Focused on the notion of paradox and contradiction in Far East Asian culture, Paradoxa is a Contemporary Art exhibition, held at the Museo d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea of Casa Cavazzini, which every year explores a different national context. The edition of 2017 is dedicated to Chinese Contemporary Art and the topic of obscurity according to the dialectic value it embodied for Chinese culture. Being one of the classic theme associated with Chinese philosophical and religious tradition, the darkness and obscurity will be here intended as a revelation of some contradictory aspects of Chinese modernity and personality. As a superpower of the global economy, China has now a controversial relation to its past and to individuality, which can be revelated by the theme of darkness as a philosophical, psychological, aesthetic counterpart of its overwhelming process of economic and technological progress which is often represented as much disruptive than endless. The exhibition includes the works of three artists: the suspense and allegory of Cheng Ran’s videos; the enchanted and mysterious photographs of Chen Wei; the ambivalent and obscure images of Xie Nanxing’s Painting.

La mostra d’illustrazione, organizzata e curata dal Collettivo SpiceLapis Illustratori FVG, ha coinvolto illustratori di tutta la regione attravesro una call sul tema "La Metamorfosi". Le opere, la cui misura richiama l’equivalente dell’unità tradizionale del tatami, spaziano in tutto l’Estremo Oriente attraverso il tema proposto, raccontando così storie, leggende e narrazioni popolari. Le opere sono state selezionate da una giuria di professionisti e sono esposte in originale con i riferimenti letterari o narrativi degli illustratori. The exhibition of illustration, organized and curated by the SpiceLapis Illustrators FVG Collective, involves illustrators from all over the region who answered a call for contributions on the theme of "Metamorphosis". The works, whose size is that of the traditional tatami mat, range across the entire Far East, telling stories, legends and folk tales. The works on display were selected by a jury of professionals and are exhibited in their original form with literary references or narrative provided by the illustrators. Le opere trovate rimarranno di proprietà dei partecipanti all’evento. La mappa sarà disponibile presso la Galleria Tina Modotti. Una stanza buia, un tempo di attesa, lo sviluppo di immagini che si insinuano tra eros e pornografia. Ogni esperienza sarà unica, ogni immagine differente. L’accesso è consentito a poche persone alla volta. Titta Cosetta Raccagni e Barbara Stimoli iniziano a collaborare nel 2014 in occasione della Ladyfest, primo festival su genere, sessualità e queerness di Milano. Continuano la loro collaborazione durante la residenza artistica a San Francisco presso Djerassi program dove ideano il progetto "Pornopoetica". A dark room, the wait, the developing of images that exist in the liminal space between eros and pornography. Each experience is unique, each image different. Only a few visitors are granted access at a time. Titta Cosetta Raccagni and Barbara Stimoli began to work together in 2014 on the occasion of Ladyfest, Milan’s first festival of gender, sexuality and queerness. They continued their collaborative work at an artistic residency in San Francisco’s Djerassi program where they devised the "Pornopoetica" project.

La ciliegia nella cultura asiatica incarna l’universo femminile. Mentre il suo perfetto e fragile fiore, l’essenza effimera della vita. Alle 22.00 e 23.00. Cherries, flowers, red. Naked bodies and simple drawings move the viewer. Bodies that are art. "Ciliegie" celebrates the photographer and poet Ren Hang and the dancers orchestrate a delicate sensual choreography created by overlapping bodies. Red is the predominant colour of the performance. Durante la sua gioventù asiatica ha studiato sia teoria classica che violino per poi trasferirsi in Europa dove ha esplorarato, da autodidatta, il suono del pianoforte e dei synth. La sua carriera incomincia a crescere nel 2006 quando propone dei live set con il violino mecolandolo la classica con la minimal techno, facendo esplodere molti dancefloor di club, grandi locali e festival come l' Electrowave / Italiawave Festival, il più importante festival di musica elettronica italiana. Lo sviluppo musicale di Rea come produttore è cresciuto rapidamente e in questi anni le sue tracce sono uscite su etichette come Minisketch di Davide Squillace, Carillon di Giuseppe Cennamo e l'etichetta della I-Music di Claudio Coccoluto e inoltre ha ottenuto il sostegno della scena club oltre ad essere entrata nella etichetta berlinese di SIS la Cocolino Records. Born in Sri Lanka, Rea K is a cosmopolitan artist and a passionate musician. Her rising career starts in 2006 as a violin performer mashing up her classical background with minimal techno grooves craking many club dancefloors and big venues with live sets as in the Electrowave / Italiawave Festival, the most important italian electronic music festival. Born as a farmer’s daughter in Thailand’s poor Isaan province, nobody expected that this cute little girl would change the music scene of her country, as NAKADIA most certainly has done. Nakadia was always open-minded and looking for new experiences, which took her through various jobs, until she came to Europe on a modeling assignment. During this trip she got listen to electronic music for the first time in her life. This experience changed her life, as she immediately knew: she was born to become a DJ. Today, with her home base in Berlin, Nakadia has become the Asian face on the European DJ scene. This girl played over 500 international performances at top clubs around the world, and she's taking her unique career to the next level in the techno and tech house music scene also thanks to the collaboration with Sven Vath's Cocoon production label. For the first time Far East Film Festival in collaboration with Paradigma, has the honor having her as the main guest of one of the most exciting FEFF nights in program this year. So save the date! FEFF NIGHT #3: KAITARO SAB / SAT 29.04 – DALALA DISCO CLUB Kai è un artista giapponese (aka Kaitaro Nakajima) nato nel 1977 di base a Tokyo. Ha iniziato il djing all’età di 17 anni. Ha iniziato i primi passi con l’Hip Hop ma poi si è spostato nel mondo della minimal Techno e della house musicnel 2003. Dal 2004 è attivo sulle pruduzioni minimal fino al 2005-2006. Il suo primo lavoro è uscito sulla Sud Electronic (Portable label). È stata per lui una grossa oppurtunità perchè poi ha fatto delle uscite sulla Alphahouse (label di Butane) e su etichette tedesche come la Level Recordings e la Enliven Music. Nel 2007 cambia la sua base per andare a Berlino dove si è esibito live con midi controllers e analogico. Nel 2010 e nel 2011 ha realizzato due compilation sulla Merkur Shallplatten dell’artista giapponese Shingo Suwa, sulla Little Helpers. Nel 2012 va a Berlino dove ha le maggiori attiviità di live e di djing e produce dei brani per etichette come Sakadat, Amaniel, Te iubesc Rec e un uscita in vinile sulla Tupiar Records. Fonda con il suo amico Yoske nel 2014 una etichettache si chiama Note recordings. Successivamente appare sul mix cd di Magdanel 2014 e nel 2015.
