THE ADVANTAGE

4th Annual Production Sale

October 17, 2020 • Sioux City, IA

Welcome

On behalf of everyone here at Udell Cattle Company, we would like to welcome you to join us in Sioux City for our 4th annual production sale. Each year we believe depth of quality exceeds the previous year, and this year is no exception. We have put together an impressive set of 50 of our best open females. We are confident you’ll be able to find high quality females with strong, proven genetics for all levels of competition. It has been a whirlwind of a year, but a year of many highlights. We had an extremely successful Denver, with multiple division wins with females from The Advantage 2019. Many wins and top 5 finishes at winter/spring shows across the country, until shows became few and far between. Summer was highlighted by raising the Grand Champion Heifer at the National Junior Angus Show in Tulsa, and a top five finish at the Iowa State Fair. Our fall was highlighted by the addition of our second grandson, Baylor Jack. So far Brecken is adjusting to big brotherhood quite well and loves his little brother.

If 2020 has taught us anything, it is to not take anything for granted. We are incredibly grateful to our customers, crew, and their families who have assisted in the success 2020 has brought us, and we are looking forward to an even better, and perhaps more “normal,â€? 2021. If you will not be able to visit in person you can watch the sale and bid along with us at cci.live. We appreciate your interest in our program, and ask that you not hesitate in contacting anyone here at Udell Cattle Co. or one of our sale consultants if you have any questions. We would be honored for you to be a part of our team this upcoming year!

Bret & Becky Udell

On behalf of the entire UCC Family and crew

Welcome

to the fourth edition of “The Advantage” Production Sale, hosted by Udell Cattle Company. There is no question that this program has experienced as much success in the showring as any multi-breed operation in North America; a testament to the breeding program and dedication of the Udell family and their talented crew. The donor battery that resides in Sioux City, Iowa needs no introduction, with many of those matriarchs being past National Champions themselves. The accomplished class of 2019 has endured a highly successful run to date for their new owners and we are excited about their future that is on the horizon. The Udell family bred the 2020 National Junior Angus Show Grand Champion Owned Female for Sara Sullivan, she sold as lot 24 in The Advantage 2019 marketing event. A full sister that sold as lot 23 was the many times champion for Kaylee Langford, with trips to the backdrop at the Kansas Beef Expo, National Western Stock Show, and Kentucky Beef Expo. The legacy of the SLL Ellie 2201 cow family can be identified in this year’s offering as lots 13 through 18. These females are also maternal sisters to the 2018 NAILE Grand Champion Junior Angus Female for Chesney Steenhoek. This summer Turner Longacre campaigned his JSUL Red Thunder 9051W daughter to the 5th Overall Title at the National Junior Chianina Show in Sioux Falls. 9051W continues to add chapters to the history books with each passing year, a true matriarch within the show cattle industry. Once again, a strong Angus line-up will highlight the 2020 event, and there will be several high quality females that will represent the Simmental, SimAngus, Chianina, Maintainer, Maine Angus, Shorthorn Plus, and Charolais sectors of the Udell breeding program. Regardless of which breed you are after, rest assured that the cow family behind them represents the most proven and prolific pedigrees in North America. A set of cattle that are bred in the purple! Customer service is what sets this program apart and there is no question that the dedication and passion that Mitchell, Maddy, Marc, Greg, and Tony offer to the junior show families is second to none. I encourage you to visit with them about the cattle with the goal of finding the right heifer for you or your junior exhibitor. We welcome you to view this powerful offering at your convenience before the sale and invite you to join us on October 17, 2020 at 6 PM for The Advantage Production Sale. CCI.Live will provide a live broadcast if you are unable to attend the sale in person. If you have questions it is encouraged to contact any of the Udell Cattle Company team members or sale staff. Enjoy the cattle,

Graham Blagg Innovation AgMarketing

This female will change as much as any in the offering when she presents herself on the tie rail.
