Barton Cattle 2026 Stamped for Success

Page 1

BIDS DUE OCTOBER 18, 2026

SIX years of the Stamped for Success!! That really just doesn’t seem possible, yet here we are. Each year we spend our fall putting together a group of heifers to offer for sale, but really this set of heifers starts much sooner than their first bath. It starts with breeding decisions made a year ago on a group of cows that we have worked to improve for much longer than the six years we have had this sale. There really aren’t words to describe just how proud we are of this set of heifers. Everyone always says it, but the best way to grow an operation is to improve each year upon the previous and this set has knocked that out of the park. No matter the level you want to compete at, there is something for you in Frederick this year. You just need to come find them. Each year that we put this sale together we have the pleasure of offering progeny out of past sale highlights, and feel that this set of heifers shows just how well these females can go out and produce after their show career is over. The genetics in this group of females are the best we can offer from donors we continue to utilize in our herd as we try to improve the next set of them. My personal favorite part of sale season is the people we get to meet and work with each year. We are blessed to have some wonderful returning customers and hope to see some new faces around the barn as well. We have had a great group of young people help either at the barn on the weekends or at various shows throughout the year and as anyone who tries to do this knows, we absolutely couldn’t survive without them. Our mini herdsman has acquired quite the group of role models to look up to and we are thankful for it. Sale season with a one year old is a new kind of busy, but oh so much fun. If you come by, she’ll be the first to give you the tour, take you through the heifers and give you her opinion. Thank you for your time and we hope you enjoy the offering.

-Chris, Maddy and Charlie Grace Barton

Big swoopy bodied, unique features and as stout about her hip and pin as you’ll find in a freaky yet functional Angus show heifer and donor prospect. If you know Dexter, 1704 is his absolute favorite cow, this heifer showcases why! One of the best parts of this industry and this event are the people you get to share it with, and you’re getting an incredible mentor in the breeder of lot 2. There’s a lot of history behind getting this one where she is today. Colton showed her mother at the National Junior Limousin Show and Congress in Amarillo where she unfortunately aborted her first pregnancy. It’s been a long road of trial and error to get that cow into production, but lot 6 certainly explains why it’s been worth the battle. That aside, it is equally as hard to make a Limousin female look like this one. Huge bodied, fat legged, big pinned heifers are not often this sound and this good looking. It doesn’t matter if your goals are the Texas majors, Limousin Jr Nationals, or the northern State Fairs, this one is elite and she’s been bred and fed to be competitive. Her Granddam, Ratliff Gabby 901G was extremely successfully campaigned by the Richardson Family and has made a whale of a donor cow in their program. This one is worth the drive.

already proven her generating potential with this sale lineup. You can try to pick a hole in her, or you can see what we see. Latch on, manage her correctly, or get beat by the home that does. She didn’t cooperate the best on picture day, but this one is the real deal. We agreed early on that if Charlie was old enough to get started, this is one we’d have a really hard time letting go of. a purebred Limousin female to sell this fall as far as we can see. It’s as hard to put into words an adequate description of this animal as it is to make them look like this. Flashy, functional and killer looking on the standstill, yet she strides flawlessly on a big, square set of feet and legs.
