2024 Barton's Stamped for Success

Page 1

OCTOBER 8TH, 2024

BWelcome to the fourth edition of The Stamped for Success elite heifer sale. We have accomplished some great changes in the past year, including settling into our new home and ongoing barn rennovations as we grow and change our operation, something that it seems may never be done. We have spent the year enjoying working with loyal, long standing customers as well as getting to know a few new faces, something we hope to continue with this set we have assembled.

The past year has brought a lot of success in the show ring for past Stamped for Success heifers, as well as several who have gone on to make a difference in the herds of their new owners. One of our favorite things to watch is these heifers go into production and work to help our customers build their own herds.

As cliche as it is to say, and I’m sure as you’ve read in all of these letters this sale season, we feel that this is without a doubt the strongest set of females we’ve ever assembled. The group we’ve put together features a lot of different types and kinds in a variety of breeds. There is truly something to fit every budget, goal and end point for the coming year. We invite you to make the trip to Frederick, OK to see this set for yourself, either during our open house the evening of September 28th, or anytime you’d like to stop by, just call Chris and he’d be happy to take you through the heifers.

This past year wouldn’t be possible without all of our great customers, but also an outstanding group of young people who have helped either in the barn for a few weeks here and there or at various shows throughout the year. We could not do what we do without the help of our village.

We decided to offer a new sale format this fall, as a phone bid off. The way this will work is you will place your bids on the heifer you’re interested in by sale night, and in the days following, we will slowly work through bids on each individual lot in increments of $250. In the event you get outbid on an animal, you will have the opportunity to jump to any other lot in the sale.

As always in Southwest Oklahoma, pray for rain and cooler temperatures as we move into the fall.

Thank You for your interest,

BLUE CHIP 1877B

Unique, attention demanding, hard to miss, I could go on and on but there is no need, lot 1 says it for me. A silhouette so striking doesn’t usually come with added dimension of body, rib shape and pin width but this heifer has it all on top of flexible and fluent running gear. Lot 1 is a full sister to the $600,000 valued UDE Sara’s Dream 1086, that is proving herself in the donor pen in her first season this fall. This complete package of show heifer and donor cow doesn’t come around every day. Come see her for yourself.

This heifer combines so many pros yet offers so little for a list of cons. Striking on the pose yet effortless in motion, her build is possibly the best that we offer this year. Her design says high quality show heifer but also the kind that can generate dollars once put into production after her show career has ended. Her pedigree comes with a list of accolades to fill this catalog. The “532” donor has produced national champions in both the angus and Simmental breeds. Her most recent accomplishment is the high selling Embryos On Snow bull “New Heights”, who is a full brother to lot 2. This one screams donor potential amongst multiple different breeds. Breed her Angus, Simmental, Limousin or Maine. It really doesn’t matter.

EXAR BLUE CHIP 1877B

SLL ELLIE 2201

The oldest angus of the sale is the densest and burliest of the group and reads with cow power and versatility. Big hipped, big bodied and super powerful, but gives no slack from the side, still being an attractive and feminine type of female. This female can work in a variety of areas across the country at multiple different levels. This one could be the cow of the entire offering with no restraints on how you mate her. Full sisters to lots 3 and 4 have won every major show in the country and produced females following in their own footsteps. Check out what Sullivans have produced with her full sister UDE Ellie 9230. The possibilities are endless with this set of flush sisters.

EXAR BLUE CHIP 1877B

The little sister to lot 3 is the baby of the Angus offering. She is so stylish, attractive and elegant in her kind. Of the Angus lineup this heifer is the hardest to pick a hole in. Her build is right, structure is comfortable, showring look yet still big pinned and dense. Complete, not common. Find this one today and I promise you’ll look smart come next summer and fall. This one screams bred heifer, and has the pedigree that says she’ll make it there.

I could tell stories for days on what this heifer’s sisters and mother have done for the Udell family and customers, but instead I’ll save you the time. Stout yet smooth, broody yet beautiful, show heifer or donor cow, you make the choice. One of the most sought after pedigrees in the Angus breed, the homework is already done for you on this one. KDJ Queen Ruth 502 is one of the highest producing angus cows in the country. Sisters to this heifer have won every angus show in the country and have raised daughters to do the same. This one reminds me of the UDE Queen Ruth 9080 female that the Lashmett family showed and have produced multiple national champions out of now. Come find a baby donor cow for yourself.

KDJ

Lot 6 is the lone purebred Limousin of the sale and one of the youngest in the offering. She is a full sister to Leave It to Me, a very exciting promotional sire at Barton Cattle and maternal sister to Corbin Robbins’ many time champion purebred female sired by Crown Royal. Not only is there proof in this cow family but this heifer speaks for herself. For a purebred this one is unique in her build and so smooth in the way she is put together. Big square feet, stout in her pin width and still so attractive up front. The hair is slow but wait til this winter, she’ll have all you can handle.

Marge is the cow prospect of the offereing. We bought her mother out of Coyote Hills Ranch’s cow sale and she has done a great job in our program. Sired by LFL Esquire, a bull from the heart of the Lawrence Family’s program, this one will compete in the phenotype show and the new Neogen Ultimate Genotype show at this year’s Limousin Show and Congress. This one screams Cow Power and has the numbers to back it up. Look seriously at Lot 7.

Lot 8 is a maternal sister to COBN Hennessy 022H, the Champion Limousin Female at the 2022 Cattlemen’s Congress. We believe lot 8 can have just as decorated of a show career. There’s nothing I can say about this heifer that you can’t already see, but I will add that we all agree this is the highest quality Lim-Flex female we have ever raised and offered to the public. Lot 8 is young, but she’ll catch up in a hurry. With that said, it’s hard to part with one like this, but you can see what she offers. This one’s potential is through the roof. All you have to do is hang on.

This heifer has been fun to look at from the start. From the very first time she stood up I knew she was special. Love her or hate her, you have to notice her. I remember the morning she was born. The first time she stood up something inside me knew, and so I called up Chuck Barton, my exact words were “we’ve got something here.” To this day I believe that statement to be true. This heifer really is “something.” So stout and powerful with all the extra dimension of body and hip, but from the side so long and extended about her neck that ties right out of the topside of her shoulder. Proud in look, power throughout, she’ll compete at the shows and she’ll raise your next favorite calf.

TLAC MISS MAGGIE 1913K DAUGHTER OF BOE MS FITZY

MARLEY 12M

Lot 10 is sired by one of our clean up bulls known as “Buck.” This heifer has had us excited from the start. She’s so cool fronted and long necked that she just catches the eye. She’s big bodied and stout through her pin width. She’s got a set of feet and legs to write home about and an attitude that will have you in love the first time you take her home. We think this one can be competitive at all kinds of levels. This is a barn favorite and we’re sure she will be yours too.

MISSIE 6M

The other Buck heifer in the offering is just a little different about her kind. Stout, big and round at her rib cage and fluent in motion. This heifer makes an awesome cow down the road once put to pasture, something we strive for here in our operation. With all of that said, this heifer is not for the first time showman, we’re not saying she won’t break, but it will take some time and effort to get this one show ready.

It’s hard to find a purebred Simmental that puts everything together like this heifer does. She’s elegant about her presence. Bold and round, yet still soft and deep through her center body. Her structure and build are second to none, picture perfect yet even better in person. She is as unique as we offer but her time to shine will not only last in the show ring but just wait until you put her into production and watch as she generates dollars for your operation. This one’s Dam won the triple crown in 2020-2021. After that, a daughter from her first flush season did it again. Her sire is the recent Cattlemen’s Congress Supreme Champion Bull. This one has all of the pieces that make a big time show heifer, and a pedigree that says she’s going to produce when she’s done.

KDP MISS HOYA HAYLEIGH DAM OF LOT 12
UDE HAYLEIGH 5K MATERNAL SISTER TO LOT 12

When we visited the Millers this year looking for sale heifers we both knew we weren’t heading home without taking along this heifer, and everything worked out just right. Its hard to make a purebred Simmental with this much power, width and muscle dimension with tree trunk sized legs that can move so correct and comfortable. Lot 13 is gentle about her attitude but demanding about her style. This is a no brainer type of opportunity. This one is the first year showman’s dream. She is sweet as can be and loves to be in the barn. Her grandam and great grandam have written a book of success in the Simmental breed.

PAYS IN DIAMONDS 3M

To round out the offering for this year we give you lot 14, the highest quality percentage Simmental female we have ever raised and offered. Her mother is a favorite at the farm and was one of the most fun we ever had during her show career. It has taken a few years to get this mating correct but this time it really clicked. A good looking female that is still stout yet huge bodied and offers all the pieces of a donor cow. Yet, she has a presence that is just hard to walk away from, but our favorite part is how good built this animal is, for the breed she offers such a fluent and comfortable stride when set into motion. This one is ready to go showing whenever you are. Looking forward to a fun year!

IN ADDITION TO THE STAMPED FOR SUCCESS SALE, WE ARE HONORED TO BE A PART OF THE SELECT HEIFER SALE AGAIN IN 2024. CHECK OUT OUR CONSIGNMENTS TO THIS YEAR’S SALE TO THE RIGHT.
