UC Scout Scholarships
UC Scout is proud to offer scholarships for one single-semester or full-year (two-semester)
On Demand course. All eligible students are encouraged to apply!

Scholarship Details
Eligible students may apply for a scholarship for an On Demand course. UC Scout On Demand courses are 100% online, led by a California-credentialed teacher, and A-G approved. With a scholarship, students only pay a $50 technology fee (cost typically $399), and gain access to high-quality online education. In order to support academic success, students may enroll in only one semester of a course per term.
*If a student takes a two-semester course and completes the first semester with a grade of 70% or higher, they can continue for the second semester during the next term.
Eligibility Criteria
Students must meet the criteria below:
1. Attend a school in California
2. Be in grades 9-12
3. Have a minimum 2.5 GPA
Additionally, students must meet two or more of the following criteria:
» Student, parents or anyone in the household is a recipient of or eligible for CalFresh/SNAP or Medi-Cal/Medicaid
» Reside in public housing
» Household income is at or below the levels listed on the Reduced-price Eligibility Scale Meals and Snacks table based on the household size
» Current/former foster youth or homeless/shelter insecure
» Neither parent or guardian has earned a four-year college degree
» Student is an English language learner
» Student attends a Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF+) or Title I school and/ or is a current member of a SAPEP group

Scholarships are limited to one course per student per term. Selected students are required to pay a $50 technology fee per semester.
Program Requirements
Students must abide by the scholarship program requirements below:
» Attend their teacher’s weekly live appointment sessions. If the live session is on a day/time the student is not available, the student must email the teacher to report on their weekly progress
» Submit at least one graded assignment per week
» Maintain and complete the course with a 70% or higher grade
Failure to abide by these rules may result in removal from the course and scholarship program without a refund.
