CAST BIOGRAPHIES

MICHAEL SEITZ (HLESTAKOV) HE/HIM is a fourth year in the BFA acting program. He was seen as Panch (25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Mr. Nightmare (Spectral Frequencies), D Vicious ( Airness), and in Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind for UC Santa Barbara. He has also performed as Trigorin (Stupid F@#!ing Bird ), and Andrew Jackson (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson) at College of the Sequoias, and Jaime (The Last Five Years), Mortimer ( Arsenic and Old Lace), and Bernstein (Dogfight). He would like to thank his friends and family for their love and support, pushing him to where he is today.

ANGEL VILLALOBOS (OSIP) HE/HIM is a current BFA Acting and BA Sociology student at UCSB. From Los Angeles, he has found much joy as an actor, director, producer, and teaching artist for youth. Stage credits include Orgon in Tartuffe, Duke Orsino in Twelfth Night, Solyony in Three Sisters, John in Baby with the Bathwater, Angel in Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind, Harry in Black Flag, Angel in Wrench, Shroeder in Spectral Frequencies, Tommy in Durang/ Durang, Jester in Arabian Nights, and several readings and other short plays at UCSB, Theatricum Botanicum, LAPC, and Center Stage Theater.

MILO MARSDEN (THE MAYOR) THEY/THEM is a third year in the BFA acting program at UCSB. Recent credits include Leaf in 25th Annual, Sorin in Seagull and Sebastian in Twelfth Night. They can often be found on their couch, tensely gripping a glass of sparkling water, rewatching Fleabag for the tenth time.

BRIANNA MUNGO (ANNA ANDREYEVNA) SHE/HER is a junior BFA

Acting major and transfer student from the Bay Area. She’s performed in various theatrical and film productions, and appeared last season as Mitch Mahoney in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. When not on stage Brianna enjoys spending quality time with her cat, Clove, and sipping on a kombucha. She hopes you enjoy the show!

ANDALYN HONSELAAR (MARYA) SHE/HER is a senior BFA Acting and

BA Communication double major. Past productions at UCSB include Molière’s Tartuffe (Elmire), The Neo-Futurist’s Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind (Ensemble) and Jo Palazuelos-Krukowski’s Spectral Frequencies (Natalia). She feels warm and fuzzy inside when she thinks about the extraordinary people she gets to make art with.

PHOEBE ALVA (GRUSHA/LOCKSMITH’S WIFE) SHE/HER is a third year double major at UCSB, studying both Psychology and Acting in the BFA program. She also does harm reduction work at Gauchos for Recovery, and plays bass in the band, “Lemon Generation”. She has been involved in several productions at UCSB, and would like to dedicate this and all other performances to her brother, Tristan Alva. He was the ultimate creative and incredible artist who inspires everything she does. She hopes you enjoy this hilarious production.

VIVIAN OXLEY(JUDGE) SHE/HER is a first-year Theater major. The Government Inspector will be Vivian’s first production at UCSB. Vivian’s most recent performance outside of UCSB Theater was as a gender-bended version of Dewey Finn in the musical School of Rock. Vivian is ecstatic to be performing among such wonderful actors and hopes you enjoy the show!

WILLIAM HUFFAKER

(PRINCIPAL)

HE/HIM is a senior in UC Santa Barbara’s BFA program. His stage appearances are as follows: Les Liaisons Dangereuses (Danceny) and Stupid F***ing Bird (Conrad) at College of the Sequoias, and Spectral Frequencies (The Masked Spirit) and Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind at UC Santa Barbara. This summer, he performed in King Lear (Edmund), with the Prague Shakespeare Company. Staged readings of his one-acts: One Hundred Years and a Day and We Weary Children have been produced through UCSB’s New and Reimagined Works Initiative. Enjoy the show!

ABBY STOIBER

(HOSPITAL DIRECTOR)

THEY/THEM is a fourth-year in the BFA Acting program. Their most recent stage credits include Naked Shakes’ Romeo & Juliet as Benvolio and the department’s spring production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee as an ensemble member. They have also worked backstage on several productions over the past several years, most recently as the stage manager for Seaward, a newly developed play written and directed by Cyrus Roberts. They are excited for everyone to see the product of everyone who has worked on this show and hope you enjoy it!

CARLEE DOUGLAS (POSTMASTER) SHE/HER is a senior in the BFA Acting program from Fresno, California. She was recently a part of Naked Shakes’s production of Romeo and Juliet as Mercutio. She would like to thank her professors, friends, and family for their continued support, encouragement, and love. She hopes you all enjoy the show!

TAYLOR KIRK (DOBCHINSKY) SHE/HER is fourth year in the BFA Theatre program, with a double major in Black Studies at UCSB. She’s from South Los Angeles and the last UCSB show she was seen in wasthe LAUNCH PAD production of A Medusa Thread as Essence. She is thrilled to kick off the fall season with such a lively show and hopes you all stay safe and healthy!

ALEXANDRA MARTIN (BOBCHINSKY)

SHE/HER is a senior in UCSB’s BFA acting program. Alex’s last project was playing the Nurse in UCSB’s production of Romeo and Juliet. In her free time, Alex likes to crochet and snuggle with her dog Winona. Big thanks to the amazing designers and crew for making this show possible, and the rest of the cast for helping Alex embrace her silly side. Enjoy the show!

NATALIA ACHATZ (DOCTOR) SHE/HER is a fourth year finishing up her BA in theater here at UCSB. You might have recently seen her in The Wolves at SBCC last spring or maybe on this stage last fall in Seagull. While she’s not acting or in classes you can find her surfing or enjoying nature. She is happy to be back in the Hatlen to make some laughs. And big thanks to the cast, crew, and her director Michael Bernard.

KIRSTEN HØJ (INNKEEPER’S WIFE/CHERNYAEYEV) SHE/HER is a senior in the BFA Acting program at UCSB. Originally from Ojai, she has worked in theater and film in and around LA and Santa Barbara. Recent credits include Nina in Seagull, Olivia in Twelfth Night, and Sandra Castelli in Bones of Contention. She hopes you enjoy the show!

HIND JADALLAH-KARRAA (WAITRESS/CORPORAL’S WIDOW)

SHE/HER was raised in Oakland, California, and is a transfer student from Santa Barbara City College. She is in her second year at UCSB and is a Junior in the BFA Theater program. This will be her fourth play at UCSB. She is so excited to be apart of this production and live her dream of being an old lady with and without a hump. She hopes that you enjoy and sends her regards to the Tsar!

NICK ENEA (SVETSUNOV/IMPERIAL MESSENGER/FIGHT CAPTAIN)

HE/HIM is a transfer student entering his second year in the BFA Acting program. He loves taking every opportunity available to act, maybe you saw him as Romeo in the recent NAKED SHAKES production of Romeo and Juliet! Nick enjoys Piña Coladas and getting caught in the rain. He is also a self-certified tree climbing expert!

JONAH SPITLER (ABDULLIN) HE/THEY is an actor in the UCSB BFA program. Recent credits include Barfée in Spelling Bee, Rex Bolton in Spectral Frequencies, and a reader in We’re All Girls Here, a semifinalist for Samuel French’s Off-Off-Broadway Short Play Festival. They are honored to take part in another UCSB production, and excited to continue sharing their work!

KYLE BRASHER (PENTELAEYEV) HE/HIM is a transfer Theater major. This will be Kyle’s first production at UCSB. Some of the productions Kyle has been in recently were American Alien and Midsummer Night’s Dream at Los Angeles Pierce College. Kyle is really excited to be a part of this production and hopes you enjoy the show.
