THE WHOLE PACKAGE

ROOM ASSIGNMENTS AND RATES

ASSIGNMENTS

Your housing contract includes your assigned room and the base Dining Plan. Students typically find out their room assignment in late August. Specific room and board rates are available on our website at hdhughousing.ucsd.edu.

INCOMING FIRST-YEAR housing assignments begin in the residence halls and apartments in the student’s college of registration, then continue into other on-campus housing areas.

INCOMING TRANSFER housing assignments will begin in established Upper Division housing neighborhoods and continue into other on-campus housing areas as needed.

MEDICAL HOUSING ACCOMMODATIONS

If you need a medical housing accommodation, you must apply for housing by the deadline AND contact the Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD) immediately at osd.ucsd.edu.

FAMILY HOUSING

Family housing is available in our Graduate and Family Housing communities for students in a committed relationship or who have dependents. Those who reply “yes” to the family housing question via the housing application process will receive an email with more information.

DINING ON

CAMPUS

DINING OPTIONS

Your housing contract includes a Dining Plan, designed as an à la carte system rather than an all-you-care-to-eat program. Plans are designed to be flexible, low-cost, and suit every lifestyle. To explore dining on campus, visit hdhdining.ucsd.edu.

All Dining Plans are linked to your campus ID card. Dining dollars can be used in all HDH dining locations (restaurants and markets). Each purchase is automatically deducted from your account balance, like a debit card. Dining Plans also come with a minimum of $500 in Triton Cash, accepted at 60+ locations on and off campus.

SPECIALTY/MEDICALLY NECESSITATED DIETS

Individuals who require specific dietary accommodations should first contact the Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD) at osd.ucsd.edu.

Once registered with OSD, our registered dietitian will contact you to set up an individualized plan.
