On April 1, 2026, the Associated Students of the University of California, Riverside (ASUCR) meeting began at 7 p.m. and adjourned at 8:10 p.m.

During new business, Associated Students Program Board (ASPB) Vice Chairperson Ethan Davis and Marketing Chairperson Cynthia Nguyen presented the organization’s updated constitution. The amended constitution proposed greater employee retention through a more flexible hour structure and clarified positional requirements. School of Public Policy (SPP) Senator Pia Prashanth contested

that students need dedicated time for openly communicating with ASPB student officers as they are paying fees for access to these programs and services. In March 2026, Riverside County Sheriff and California gubernatorial candidate Chad Bianco seized more than 65,000 ballots from elections officials for the November 2025 special election on Proposition 50. According to Bianco, he took the ballots to start an investigation into whether votes were “fraudulently counted” after a citizen....

On March 29, the Empire Strykers of the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) hosted the St. Louis Ambush on the final matchday of the MASL regular season at the Toyota Arena. Last Sunday’s contest marked my second ever experience at a Strykers game. During my first trip to the Toyota Arena during the 2024-2025 season, I met and interviewed Marco Fabián, one of my favorite soccer players of all time, after an overtime loss to the San Diego Sockers. This year, I was set to interview former University of California, Riverside (UCR) midfielder Leopoldo “Polo” Hernandez. During his time at UCR, Polo stacked accolades.
