Yolan F. | “Who’s There”
Yolan has been painting for many years. She loves painting flowers and Long Island scenery. She enjoys using long brushstrokes and she recently started using adaptive painting equipment to help her with her technique. She has been married to her husband Peter, who is also a UCP of Long Islandparticipantformorethan25years.
Leroy M. | “It’s a Blue Kind of Day”
Leroy has been using the services of UCP of Long Island since he was an infant. Leroy loves to paint and works effortlessly to achieve the look that he is going for.
Inspired by nature, as a painter Leroy likes to experiment with different styles and brush strokes. Leroy enjoys the outdoors very much, and his love of nature is reflected in his work. Personally, Leroy enjoys visiting museums and dresses with a great deal of flair, often wearing tailored suits and hats.
Rolf W. | “Winter’s Dream”
Rolf is one of UCP of Long Island’s most prolific artists. Rolf was born in East Northport and grew up with his loving familyand cametoUCPfor Adult Day Services in 1996. He currently lives in a UCP of Long Island residential home in Ridge. Rolf always painted but in the last 10 years has developed his own style by finding adaptive ways to assist him to overcome his limited range of motion. His favorite media is acrylics and he finds relaxation inpainting landscapes.
UCP has always been a family: we’re a community that includes the individuals we support, our staff, board, and you our donors.
Together, we do something extraordinary...we help people with disabilities live a Life Without Limits.
