Turning The Page‌ The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life would like to recognize and congratulate all of our graduating seniors in the class of 2014. As you move forward, please remember to keep in touch as we love hearing from past students. The OFSL would also like to thank all of you for your outstanding service and devotion that you have offered to your chapters, councils, and communities as it is this work that inspires the future Greek leaders on this campus. Whether it was through holding an officer position or participating in Greek Week, the involvement and efforts will all be missed greatly. First Annual Husky Spring Recap On April 13th, both IFC and PanHellenic held their first annual Husky Spring event for the children and parents of the town of Mansfield. Activates such as an dyeing Easter Eggs, corn hole, water balloon toss, a bounce house and an Easter Egg Hunt that covered all of Husky Village. Sam Underwood and Rob Dombroski were in charge of organizing Husky Spring. “It’s great to see that as a Greek Community, we can all come together and give a great experience to all the families in out local community.” said Rob Dombroski. “One little girl was so passionate about the egg hunt that she cried; how great is that!” The event lasted for more than four hours and over twenty-five families came for the fun. Husky Spring is a shining example of how our Greek Community can all work together and creates a positive impact on both the University and the neighboring towns. Husky Spring will be back again next year; and both IFC and PanHellenic organizations are looking forward to making it bigger and better.

Alpha Phi Hosts Third Annual Red Dress Gala On Sunday April 6th, the Iota Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi held their 3rd Annual Red Dress Gala.

Thanks to the hard work of sisters Donna Macaluso and Jade McNulty, the chapter was able to put on a wonderful event that everyone enjoyed. Event chair, Macaluso, created a professionally designed web page where invitees could RSVP or donate. In the months prior to Red Dress Gala the chapter collected donation and raffle items for the event. They raised over $4000 for the Alpha Phi Foundation, making this the most successful Gala to date. The Gala had over 200 guests, a lavish brunch and a live jazz band. All the proceeds from the silent auction and raffle items went straight to the foundation. The foundation’s philanthropic priority is cardiac care and the sisters of Alpha Phi are dedicated and passionate about increasing awareness for their cause. The Iota Lambda chapter hopes to continue to increase awareness and raise even more money with their event in years to come.
