#HuskiesDon'tHaze All week the office will have a table set up on Union Street (the main hallway in the Student Union) where all students can either sign or write why they don’t haze on a hand that will be added to our awareness banner. There will be plenty of freebies as well! The banner will hang in the Student Union Cafeteria for a predetermined amount of time once National Hazing Prevention Week has concluded. This is in effort to keep the hazing prevention spirit alive outside of the week of awareness.
NHPW Pledge National Hazing Prevention Week Sep 19th-23rd
It’s easy to say you’re “against hazing,” but are you willing to tell the world that you won’t tolerate it? If so, take the Hazing Prevention Pledge. I PLEDGE: to prevent hazing before it occurs, stop hazing when I see it happening, report it when I know it has transpired, and help empower others to do the same in their organizations, schools and communities. I JOIN OTHERS TO: Recognize the harm that hazing can cause both physically and psychologically; Condemn the act of hazing on all levels; Admonish those who haze and those who enable hazing through their silence, and; Be an advocate for the prevention of hazing Sign it now: https://hazingprevention.org/students
