March is Women’s History Month!

Women’s History Month is a national celebration that honors the contributions women have made to the United States. Shoutout to all our women’s fraternities for paving the way to where we are today!

Badge Day

Monday March 4, 2024 International Badge Day happens on the first Monday of March. It is a celebration to honor sisterhood. Show you pride and wear your pin!

Interested in Community Service?

Attend a Community Service Day, where the location, time, and transportation set up for you! Check out their events at https://uconntact.uconn.edu/organization/cocsd Give and Go Move Out Campaign is an initiative hosted by Community Outreach and the Office of Sustainability intended to divert waste from landfills by providing students moving out with an easy and accessible way to donate the items they no longer need rather than throwing them out.

Volunteers will assist with donation collection, sorting, and related tasks. If you’re interested in volunteering or joining the Give and Go Committee to help organize the event, please email uconn.co.giveandgo@gmail.com

Don't share your location online! Wait until after you leave to post the places you visited, so unwanted people are not able to track you.

Keep a copy of important travel documents such as passports, IDs, and important contact information of hotels and people your are traveling with, with someone back home, incase of emergency.

Use a buddy system. When traveling in a group be sure to always move in pairs and communicate with your groups where you’re going.

Drink Safely! Make sure you know what you are drinking and do it in moderation. Never leave drinks unattended.

Hydrate, it is important to keep yourself hydrated to keep yourself energized.

Educate yourself on local news to where you are traveling so that you can keep up to date on revelent information.
