I am so excited for this year’s Greek Week and to be patterned with Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Sigma Phi, Kappa Phi Lambda, and Iota Phi Theta. I know that Team One is going to crush the 80s theme and bring home the win. The Greek sing performance is coming along great, so the other teams better watch out. It has been amazing getting to know the other organizations on the team and I am looking forward to seeing all of the other teams’ performance at Greek Sing and the pageant. Good luck to everyone!
Next week Alpha Kappa Lambda is hosting their 3rd annual “These Hands Don’t Hurt” tabling event at the Student Union. Donate $1 to take the pledge against domestic violence and place a hand on our pledge wall that will be proudly displayed in the Union for the duration of the week. Kristian Schif, the philanthropy chair of AKL had this to say about the event: “With this event, we seek to continue our philanthropic ventures with the Women’s Center by raising money for the Violence Against Women Prevention Program; a program that aims to create a safer campus environment by educating its students about safe relationship practices. We look forward to seeing you all there because It’s On Us to end domestic violence.” Tabling is April 4-8 from 10:00am – 4:00pm and all proceeds will be donated to the Violence Against Women Prevention Program here at the University of Connecticut. -Jacob Mabee FSL Intern
