Intake Equation On Saturday March 21st, 33 members of MGC and NPHC attended the “Intake Equation,” a sixhour-long Campuspeak workshop brought on campus by OFSL for historically black and culturally-based Greek organizations. What was unique about this workshop was that it brought into center of attention critical issues that are specific to MGC and NPHC. The two facilitators, both of whom were

Greek alumnae, mediated provocative discussions on topics ranging from the intake process to effective marketing strategies for smaller Greek organizations such as those in MGC and NPHC. As membership and interest in culturally-based and historically black organizations continue to grow on campus, participants in this event were also given hints on how to ensure the success of their organizations in the future.

Laura truly is a driven and ambitious person who is never afraid to take charge or to get involved. Always one to speak up or volunteer for something, Laura is a very active member in Kappa Alpha Theta. She is a part of the new 2008 pledge class and is already holding the important position of Alumnae Relations. She is also involved on campus as Major Weekend Chairperson of SUBOG. She planned many events for Homecoming as well as Winter Weekend for the Storrs campus. Besides her leadership skills, she is also a great sister, always there for her sisters as a trustworthy and warm friend. Laura was also a dancer during HuskyTHON. She was a positive source throughout the entire night. And on top of all of her positions and responsibilities Laura is a successful and hardworking marketing major.
