Membership Recruitment Acceptance Binding Agreement
a.k.a. MRABA
Themembershiprecruitmentacceptancebindingagreement (MRABA)isthecontractapotentialnewmember(PNM)signsto receiveabidfromanNPCsorority.PNMswillbeeducated thoroughlyontherecruitmentprocessincludingeducationabout theMRABA.
APNMmustunderstandtheMRABAtheyaresigningisjustthatabindingagreement.BysigningtheMRABA,aPNM acknowledgesthattheyunderstandandagreetoeachofthe conditionslistedinthedocument.Youwillbeprovided opportunitiesforclarificationandhaveanyremainingquestions answeredbeforeyousignthebindingagreement.TheMRABAand theaccompanyingscriptarewrittenandarrangedforreadability andclarityinunderstanding.
Onthenextpagearesomekeyclarificationsaboutrecruitmentand theMRABA.ThePanhelleniccommunity(e.g.,chapterleaders, recruitmentcounselors)havebeeneducatedontheseitems,andwill preventanyinaccurateinformationthatisbeingsharedinthe community.

Hazing,definedasanyactivitywithoutreasonableorlegitimateeducationalvalueexpectedof someoneforthepurposeofinitiation,admissioninto,affiliationwith,orasaconditionfor continuedmembershipinagroupororganizationthathumiliates,degradesorrisksemotional, psychological,and/orphysicalharm,regardlessofaperson'swillingnesstoparticipate.
