Washington, D.C.

This May, UCLA Extension participated in the NAFSA 2023 Conference and Expo. NAFSA is the world’s largest association dedicated to international education and exchange. Over 8,500 attendees from 100 nations participated in the conference, focused on sharing innovations, strategies and best practices in the field of international education.

To advance UCLA Extension’s vision of creating innovative pathways for the pursuit of knowledge by connecting the resources of UCLA with diverse and worldwide communities, the UCLA Extension team met with more than 100 current and existing partners from 43 countries to discuss mobility pathways into UCLA Extension programs. Additionally, the team attended a networking breakfast at the Royal Norwegian Embassy and a Erasmus+ Cooperation Seminar at the Austrian Embassy, participated in a Taiwan-U.S. Education Symposium to find new ways to collaborate with Taiwanese universities, and attended a Study California networking luncheon with EducationUSA and U.S. Commercial Services representatives.

As we look ahead to the upcoming year, we’ll continue to forge robust, equitable partnerships to develop innovative programs with colleagues and partners around the world.
