ALTERNATIVE SPRING BREAK 2023

This year, students had the opportunity to engage in Alternative Spring Break Trips, partnering with: the Fresno Public Defender's Office, LawNY, Las Americas, Legal Services of Northern California, and the LGBT Asylum project.

" IT GOES WITHOUT EXPLANATION THAT A PUBLIC DEFENDER'S OFFICE HAS THE POWER TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN PEOPLE'S LIVES. TO BE A PART OF THAT FOR A WEEK WAS A GREAT HONOR. ON THIS TRIP I WAS ABLE TO CONNECT WITH CLIENTS BY CONDUCTING INTERVIEWS AND WRITING DECLARATIONS AND MOTIONS. I HOPE THE THOUGHT AND CARE I PUT INTO THAT WORK WILL HELP THEIR CASES BE DISMISSED AND RECORDS CLEARED . "
