EXPLORE YOUR AID OPTIONS
Your first step towards affording college is applying to UCCS and applying for federal student aid through the FAFSA process, which must be completed by March 1. This will set you on your path to being awarded aid and understanding your total bill.

APPLYING FOR SCHOLARSHIPS

UCCS seeks to assist students searching for scholarship opportunities from both the university and outside scholarship providers. Scholarship deadlines are typically March 1, and students are encouraged to submit applications by Feb. 1.
CALCULATING AN AID PACKAGE
After you have filed your FAFSA, you will receive your Student Aid Report (SAR) which will tell you your determined Expected Family Contribution (EFC). Your EFC and Your UCCS Financial Aid Cost of Attendance will determine the amount of financial aid you are eligible for.

A TRANSPARENT VIEW OF YOUR TOTAL BILL
It’s our mission to help you understand the real cost of a UCCS education. It’s at this step that we’ll lay out for you what your financial aid package is likely to cover in a financial aid notification of eligibility.

UCCS is a competitively priced university which still features top-notch and highly-ranked degree programs. We feel confident in the value of a University of Colorado degree, and after reviewing your total bill, we think you will, too.

AWARDS CREDITED TO YOUR BILL
All financial aid awards (excluding work-study) are credited to your UCCS student billing account, generally beginning the week prior to the start of each semester. Work-study funds are earned over the course of the academic year and are paid to you according to the University’s payroll schedule. You can always see your awards in your myUCCS portal.
