#GivingTuesday is a BIG one!

November 28 marks our 10th #GivingTuesday! For the 10th time we’ll dedicate 24-hours to celebrate the people, places and things closest to our heart, and the many ways the University of Cincinnati makes a positive impact on our world. Thank you for signing up to be an ambassador to help inspire a wave of good, using your voice to help spread generosity!

You have the power to make a BIG impact. While inspiring your network, you can show your UC pride by giving back to the program that means the most to you.

Let’s come together today to impact tomorrow. Let’s #GivewithHeartUC. Our ambassadors have busy lives, so we developed a toolkit to make participating easy. To create excitement before and during the campaign, please share messages about #GivingTuesday to your network, using your favorite ways to connect. Whether it’s email, text, phone or social media, we want you to have fun and make this campaign your own! Don’t forget to visit your Ambassador Dashboard where you will find your unique referral link to include in your communications. This will help you track your impact and make you eligible for ambassador prizes throughout the day.

Track Your

Ambassador Activity and Compete with Other Bearcats!

If you haven’t already, sign up to be an ambassador at uc.edu/givingtuesday.

On your Ambassador Dashboard you’ll find your personal referral link to include in all of your communications. Use it! This link will track your impact and make you eligible for ambassador prizes throughout the day.

$1,000 will be donated to the UC fund of the ambassador’s choice.

$500 will be donated to the UC fund of the ambassador’s choice.

$250 will be donated to the UC fund of the ambassador’s choice.

Leveraging Your Network Ensure that every #GivingTuesday communication you have with your UC network includes your personal referral link. In addition, there are opportunities to participate in challenges to win extra money for your chosen cause.

These opportunities can help you mobilize your network around competing in a challenge.

Time Challenges $100 will be donated to the UC fund of choice for the ambassador with the most gifts during the following times:

Gifts of $20 or more are eligible for this year’s inaugural Big 12 season collectible ornament.

Noon–2 p.m. ET 4–6 p.m. ET 8–10 p.m. ET *Ambassador must have at least five gifts tied to their personal referral link in the time frame to win. Ambassadors can win only once.

SOCIAL MEDIA TIPS

Make your own gift first. This is the most powerful way to demonstrate your support. Now you also can ask others to join you!

Remind your network that any gift, no matter the size or what it supports, makes a BIG impact.

Make this your own. You know what encourages your friends to get engaged. Have fun!

Tag alumni, students and UC friends in your posts.

Thank donors who you know made gifts on #GivingTuesday (using your referral link is a great way to track this!).

Pair your posts with graphics located on the resources page and your own UC images.

A great way to amplify our #GivingTuesday messages is to follow our UC, UCAA and UC Foundation social media accounts.

It’s so easy to like and share posts made by our accounts; just don’t forget to share your ambassador link, use #GiveWithHeartUC and tag @uofcincyalumni in every post.

Spread the word about our Cyber Monday deal and encourage your network to give. A gift of $40 (today only!) gets you this year’s and a previous year’s ornament.

Share fun images and memes, check the challenge schedule, and visit the Ambassador Facebook group for updates.

How do you receive the limited-edition ornament and when will it ship?

Gifts of $20 or more are eligible for the ornament and it must be selected at check-out.

Ornaments will begin shipping the week of Dec. 4.

Does UC accept matching gifts?

Yes. Visit the our website to find out if your employer has a matching gift program. foundation.uc.edu/matching

I am a UC or UC Health employee, can I make a gift on UC Day of Giving via UC Payroll Deduction?

UC and UC Health employees can give via payroll deduction by visiting giveto.uc.edu/facultystaff What will my donation fund?

You may designate your gift to any area of the university or UC Health that you are passionate about. You may also divide your gift among several funds. When you make your gift, you can select from a list of funds.
