OUR STRATEGY
An equitable community offers resources, opportunities, and services to those who are underserved.
Falconridge and Castleridge are ranked in the bottom 3% of Calgary’s equity index.
Let’s change that.

Active Transportation Network
Making it safer to walk, bike, or take transit within and between communities.
Parks and Open Spaces
Making it more comfortable and enjoyable to relax and gather in a nearby park.
HOUSING AND LAND USE
Falconridge and Castleridge are home to many multigenerational households.

These redesigned spaces offer more
ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION NETWORK
Access to transit is a unique advantage of your community. But sidewalks and intersections can feel unsafe and inaccessible
We are introducing a system of accessible pathways and safety improvements that will make you want to walk, bike, or take transit.
Giving you the freedom to move the way you choose.
Multi-use pathways placed on main roads and raised bike lanes on local roads makes a comfortable space for you to bike, walk, or scoot without worrying about vehicles. These pathways run alongside transit routes, giving you the freedom to choose how to get around.
PEDESTRIAN SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS
While your community already has a lot of greenspace, it has the potential to grow into something special.
By planting more trees and bringing amenities to parks, you and your family will have more places outside to eat, play, and move.
Connecting you with the parks you already know and love.
Planting Alberta-native plants helps keep our air, water, and land healthy, and reduces park maintenance costs.
Students plant and care for trees on their own schoolyard, strengthening their connection with nature
There are many underutilized open spaces in the community.
Our Pick a Park program gives you the power to choose how you want to use the park nearest you!
