Building on the success of UBC Okanagan Giving Day 2019, UBC will launch its first ever university-wide Giving Day on April 7th, 2020. Driven by online promotion, and peer-to-peer fundraising, UBC Giving Day is a 24-hour giving challenge that brings donors, alumni, friends, and the community together to support and celebrate UBC. Together our community can raise funds for student experiences and UBC Faculty projects across both campuses.

The Wild & Immersive program at Malcolm Knapp Research Forest

Help children grow a deep-rooted appreciation for nature by sending a kid to camp or bringing the forest into a classroom. A ONE DAY OPPORTUNITY Your gift on UBC Giving Day can mean so much more! To amplify the impact of your donation, the Faculty of Forestry will offer matching and challenge funds. Generous members of the UBC community have already joined UBC Giving Day and want to empower others to support our Faculty’s students and projects by giving you a chance to unlock additional funds for your favourite cause. Join your Faculty to support one (or more) of the following projects:

The Wildlife Coexistence Lab

Support the deployment of hundreds of cameras in natural habitats to help wildlife managers make better-informed decisions to protect and manage wildlife, and improve human-wildlife coexistence.

UBC Thunderjacks

Back our team and help purchase equipment and support travel costs to competitions so they can compete against the best Lumberjacks and Lumberjills across North America.
