Providing Technical Assistance for Health Workforce Planning
The Health Workforce Technical Assistance Center (HWTAC) provides technical assistance to organizations that engage in health workforce planning. This includes support for health workforce data collection, analysis, and dissemination.
Established in 2013, HWTAC is based at the Center for Health Workforce Studies (CHWS) at the School of Public Health, University at Albany, State University of New York.
HWTAC’s website has an extensive resource library of videos, webinars, reports, resource briefs, relevant links, FAQs, and state health workforce data collection strategies.
HWTAC also assists in the dissemination of HRSA funded studies produced by the HWRCs. This Research Alert System distributes these studies to a wider audience by email and social media. All research alerts are housed on the HWTAC website, with brief descriptions and links to each research study.

Our strength at HWTAC is our experience and knowledge about health workforce research and planning. HWTAC has a history of working with states and organizations to address data and analytic needs. HWTAC supports stakeholders in the health services research community.
