A SUCCESS GUARANTEE We’re so confident in the quality of our education that we created the UR Guarantee – the only program of its kind in Canada. So how does it work? If you’re a newly admitted or transfer student with 30 credit hours or less of post-secondary classes and you do not secure careerrelated employment within six months of graduation, you will be eligible to come back for another year of undergraduate classes FREE of charge (yes, we actually cover all tuition and course fees).

OPEN YOUR WORLD The University of Regina has several options for STUDY ABROAD programs whereby students can experience a semester, summer, or academic year abroad. This dream can become a reality through the University of Regina Study Abroad program. For the cost of U of R tuition, you can receive an excellent education while exploring unique cultures and gaining invaluable insights about yourself and the world around you. With access to a network of 450 universities across 70 countries, you will have the opportunity to travel abroad, while gaining academic credit towards a U of R degree. Student exchange programs to choose from include the Global Study Program, National Student Exchange Program (NSEP), and International Student Exchange Program (ISEP). In addition, some classes also include faculty-led study tours or summer programs, and there are also creative,

interactive summer short-term programs available for students to attend. Volunteer programs are primarily selfdirected and UR International assists with visas and a pre-departure cross-cultural workshop. Global internships are specific to and administered by Education, Kinesiology, Social Work, and Justice Studies. SOCIAL JUSTICE AND LEADERSHIP LIVING-LEARNING COMMUNITY A community associated with Campion College, the Social Justice and Leadership Living-Learning Community provides an opportunity for students to engage, develop, and cultivate relationships that foster positive change for our local communities and environment. Take part in activities that promote social justice and community action while developing leadership and networking skills. Activities include monthly socials, community service, Social Justice Club activities, networking opportunities, sustainability sessions, group discussions, retreats, movie nights, and homework help sessions. HEALTH AND WELLNESS LIVING-LEARNING COMMUNITY This community is comprised of first year students who enjoy living a healthy and active lifestyle. Through a partnership with the Faculty of Kinesiology and Faculty of Nursing, this floor will provide recreational programs, exercise groups, information sessions, common area study space, and tutoring. The focus of the programming on this floor will help to ensure that the members of this community can easily navigate through their first year of university in a healthy and productive way. GLOBAL PERSPECTIVES LIVING-LEARNING COMMUNITY This community is comprised of students who are interested in building authentic relationships across cultures and want to work together to explore international/intercultural issues through organized activities and events. Working closely with UR International and the English as a Second Language (ESL) department, members of this community will gain a deeper appreciation for diversity and stronger understanding of their own culture in a comparative context. Workshops, guest presentations, cultural celebrations, and service projects are all meant to help create a community in which intercultural understanding extends beyond the classroom into daily student life. ENGINEERING LIVING-LEARNING COMMUNITY This community offers a dynamic and engaging living environment that promotes personal growth and academic success. FRENCH LIVING-LEARNING COMMUNITY Students from all backgrounds will have the opportunity to live and speak in French. NEEKANEEWAK LIVING-LEARNING COMMUNITY Neekaneewak (“they are leading”) Leadership Initiative (NLI) is an Elder-based leadership program that will enhance cultural awareness and develop leadership skills in student participants through traditional and current ‘ways of knowing.’ By joining the NLI Living Learning Community, you will experience the many opportunities provided to on-campus students within this leadership program.

FIRST NATIONS UNIVERSITY OF CANADA Since 1976 the First Nations University of Canada (FNUniv) has stood at the forefront of Indigenous education and traditional knowledge. ABORIGINAL STUDENT CENTRE The ASC cultivates a respectful and welcoming atmosphere that encourages student empowerment, identity, community connection, and Indigenous ways of learning. No university experience would be complete without some sport and recreation. Whether you like to compete, keep fit, or simply cheer from the sidelines, there are always plenty of options at the U of R.

INTERVARSITY ATHLETICS TEAMS

The University of Regina has a 16-team intervarsity athletics program that competes against other post-secondary institutions across Canada and the United States. The teams are members of the Canadian Interuniversity Sport and the Canada West Universities Athletic Association. 15 of the 16 teams are known as the U of R Cougars. The U of R football team is called the Rams – a homage to the program’s inception as a junior football club back in 1954.

The University of Regina’s varsity teams have combined for three national championships and 28 conference championships since ascending to interuniversity competition in the late 1960s.

The Centre for Kinesiology, Health, and Sport is a state-of-the-art, multi-use facility that draws local, national, and international events throughout the year. The Centre features a three-court gymnasium with seating for up to 2,000 spectators, two multipurpose gymnasiums, an elevated four-lane running track, lecture and classroom facilities, teaching and research laboratories, and an outside artificial turf field and two natural grass fields.

Professional Programs often require one, or more, years of undergraduate study prior to admission. Students who are intending to enter a professional program at another university can take the pre-requisites at the University of Regina. There are additional supports for students in a pre-professional program, such as help with the applications, help preparing for standardized tests (e.g., MCAT, DAT, LSAT, ect.), and help preparing for the interviews.
