president’s Message TABA Members,
We’ll kick off the month with After Hours here at the TABA office if you haven’t been in a while, be sure to swing by and say hello. We have two HOMEPAC fundraisers in August; Bowling with Builders and the TABA Clay Shoot. If you’re not familiar, HOMEPAC is the Texas Association of Builders political action committe. HOMEPAC maximizes political contributions by association members by supporting pro-housing candidates and incumbents for both statewide office and the Texas Legislature. It is through voluntary contributions that HOMEPAC can help preserve a positive political climate for the residential construction and development industry in Texas. I hope you’ll make plans to attend one or both of these events and support this good cause, while having a great time. We also have our Annual Government Officals Appreciation Luncheon on August 24th. We had to cancel last year’s luncheon due to Covid, so we’re excited to have the opportunity to once again host this event. Our guest speaker will be Texas Association of Builders Executive Director Scott Norman. Last but not least, be sure to register for our Fall Golf Tournament. We expect this event to fill up, so don’t delay in registering your team. As always, sponsorships are still available for most of the events this month, so contact TABA staff if you’d like more information.
