PWB c hair M an’s Message

TABA Members,

We kicked off our first standalone event for the Professional Women in Building Council with a Mardi Gras Gumbo cook-off. Thank you to everyone who attended and to all of our sponsors for making it a successful event.

PWB continues to gain momentum with social events, educational opportunities and a scholarship program to give back to our members children looking to get into the construction industry. With our first fundraiser, we raised over $4,000 to go towards our scholarship fund and our council is excited to continue to grow these funds over 2023.

PWB has not only grown rapidly but also ushered in several new TABA members to our organization. Anyone can join PWB, in fact our first recorded member is Kerry Hamblett. You can easily join PWB by contacting the TABA office. We welcome all members, men and women alike, and we hope to see you at the next PWB event - the PWB Family Easter Egg Hunt on April 2nd!

Thank you for making our first official year already a success.

Parade of ho M es™ B uilder re M inders

final entry deadline: due by 4 p.m. on Thursday, february 16, 2023. This is the final contract submittal date and no application will be accepted after this date.

Parade Builders:

By Thursday, March 2, 2023

Please submit to TABA the following:

1) Names of suppliers and subcontractors (sub list). Must be provided via email in Microsoft Word format. TABA staff will send you a pre-formatted Word doc that you must use.

2) Physical address and map showing location of home. If possible, please provide latitude and longitude of home location (You can “drop a pin” from the home location and text it to Libby’s cell phone 903. 571-4532).

Also provide complete written, turn-by-turn directions with mile markers. Directions should start from a central location, preferably starting in Tyler for continuity throughout the Parade Magazine. Example: From Old Jacksonville Hwy and Grande, head south on Old Jacksonville Hwy and travel 4 miles, then turn left on... Another example: From Broadway and Grande, head North on Broadway...

3) One color picture of Builder, (if you have it).

4) Amenities List of up to 12 bulleted items- no more than 38 characters per line, including spaces. TABA staff will send you a pre-formatted Word doc that you must use.

By 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2023: Final date to withdraw entry with no penalty. Also final date to change address of entry with no penalty.

april 26, 8:30 am at hollytree country club:Poh Builder Breakfast (mandatory) When proof is ready, builder will be required to approve the Parade of Homes™ Magazine Builder Page in person. Builders’ staff may no longer sign off on Builder pages. If extenuating circumstances prevent Parade Builder from attending POH Breakfast, arrangements must be made in advance with POH Chairman. There will be no final proofs signed off electronically, only in person.

Tuesday, May 30, 2023: inspections begin saturday, June 3, 2023 at 10 a.m.: 2023 Poh opens to public Contracts can be downloaded:
