TABA Members,

It’s going to be a GREAT year at TABA! As we begin the new year, I’d like to recognize our new Platinum, Gold and Silver Partners who are featured on the cover of this issue. Next month, you will likely see a few more names as members commit to sponsorships for the year. Our partners play a vital role in our Association and make many events possible.

Please make plans to join us this month for Bowling with Builders, benefiting HOMEPAC! Proceeds from this event will benefit the Texas Association of Builder’s political action committee, which promotes pro-housing legislature. So join us for a good cause, all while having a great night of bowling. Finally, we still have a few sponsorships available! PARADE OF HOMES™ BUILDER REMINDERS

Final Entry Deadline: due by 4 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2023. This is the final contract submittal date and no application will be accepted after this date.

Parade Builders:

By Thursday, March 2, 2023

Please submit to TABA the following:

1) Names of suppliers and subcontractors (sub list). Must be provided via email in Microsoft Word format. TABA staff will send you a pre-formatted Word doc that you must use.

2) Physical address and map showing location of home. If possible, please provide latitude and longitude of home location (You can “drop a pin” from the home location and text it to Libby’s cell phone 903. 571-4532).

Also provide complete written, turn-by-turn directions with mile markers. Directions should start from a central location, preferably starting in Tyler for continuity throughout the Parade Magazine. Example: From Old Jacksonville Hwy and Grande, head south on Old Jacksonville Hwy and travel 4 miles, then turn left on... Another example: From Broadway and Grande, head North on Broadway...

3) One color picture of Builder, (if you have it).

4) Amenities List of up to 12 bulleted items- no more than 38 characters per line, including spaces. TABA staff will send you a pre-formatted Word doc that you must use.

By 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2023: Final date to withdraw entry with no penalty. Also final date to change address of entry with no penalty.

Late April 2023:POH Builder Breakfast (mandatory)

When proof is ready, builder will be required to approve the Parade of Homes™ Magazine Builder Page in person. Builders’ staff may no longer sign off on Builder pages. If extenuating circumstances prevent Parade Builder from attending POH Breakfast, arrangements must be made in advance with POH Chairman. There will be no final proofs signed off electronically, only in person.

Tuesday, May 30, 2023: Inspections begin

Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 10 a.m.: 2023 POH opens to public

Rally Day is a great experience and opportunity to advocate for your industry. Plus, you get to spend time with other TABA members!

Members from homebuilders associations all across Texas will meet at the steps of the State Capitol for an opening ceremony. You will then meet at scheduled appointments in the Capitol with your elected officials and have the opportunity to represent YOUR industry.
