The Woodlawn Gateway residential retail center is a project that not only brings affordable housing to the Woodlawn community in Chicago, but also an environment friendly means of transportatin by allowing residents to be close to the transit system that travels around the town. This in return minimizes vehicular transportation and increases residents’ probability of walking.The Woodlawn Gateway project also generates revenue and attracts people to the community as well as provide small business owners the opportunity to expand by proving retail spaces.
