We hope you find this valuable information as a great way to connect with your peers and fellow members of your association. Your association celebrated its 58th “Birthday” in 2018. Congratulations and Thank You to the many individuals who have supported, participated and served the North Texas GCSA for these many years. As one of the largest and strongest GCSAA affiliated chapters, the NTGCSA continues to serve Golf Course Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, and Affiliated Members by providing outstanding educational, networking and information sharing opportunities. History The first few pages of this directory include a historic listing of the very prestigious award winners who have been honored through the history of the association. Please take a minute to look through these pages and help us again congratulate these members on a job well done. Our very deserving 2017 honorees, Scott Miller CGCS and Keith Ihms CGCS are also included and pictured.

Your association has a very rich and long history. The letter below is a copy of one of the first communications with individuals made in June of 1960. A committee has created the original rules and bylaws for the association and the letter serves as a notification for a meeting to adopt these founding documents and to execute the official formation. The association has a limited collection of this type of historic documentation but is always in search of more. We would love to add to this collection so please let us know if any of you “seasoned veterans� have any historic documents or memorabilia you would like to donate. We will include it in upcoming newsletters and keep it in safe conditions to preserve it for future generations. ARTICLE VI – DUES AND ASSESSMENTS

Section 1. The dues of this association shall be $120.00 per year for Classes A, SM, C, D, E and AF members (Fiscal year being Jan. 1 to Dec. 31). Class H members are honorary and have free membership as do Class R members. Class S membership will be 50% of regular membership dues.

The Association shall indemnify any and all persons who may serve or have served at any time as officers or directors, and their respective heirs, paid administrators, successors and assigns, against any and all expenses including judgements, counsel fees and amounts paid in settlement (before or after suit is commenced), actually necessarily incurred by such person in connection with the defense or settlement or any claim, action, suit or proceeding in which they, or any of them are made parties, or a party, or which may be asserted against them or any of them, by reason of being, or having been, an officer, or director, or former officer or director, shall be adjudged in any action suit or proceeding to be liable for those acts and omissions arising out of his or her willful misfeasance. Such indemnification shall be in addition to any other rights to which those indemnified may be entitled including such immunities under any lay, bylaw agreement, or otherwise.
Section 2. Any member who has not paid his dues by the 31st day of March shall be considered delinquent and his membership suspended. Section 3. The membership dues of all Board of Director members will be complimentary during each year of service. ARTICLE VII – MEETINGS Section 1. A minimum of ten (10) meetings shall be held each year Section 2.
