Due February 3, 2017 TIM CLIPSON PEOPLE BUILDER This award is presented to a CKI member of the Texas-Oklahoma District who, through his or her contributions and achievements, has demonstrated outstanding dedication to the principles and ideals of CKI.

Kiwanis Awards As CKI’ers we love our Kiwanians! Please apply these awards for them to show thankful we are for all the things they do for us!

Due February 3, 2017 FRED & DOTTIE SEALS OF SERVICE This award is presented to anyone who could be considered CKI’s best friend and exemplifies the spirit of fellowship within the Kiwanis Family. A Kiwanian, a spouse of a Kiwanian that is not a member of Kiwanis, CKI alumni, a Faculty/Staff member of the college/university, etc. may be nominated by a CKI chapter or by an individual CKI member. Current CKI members are not eligible for this award.

Chapter Awards These are awards that all of your members can apply for as an entire chapter! Some chapters created committees for awards to help share the load so not one person does it all. REMINDERS: 1. Spring Rally: Your LTG’s are working hard over break to give you guys

the best Spring Rallies possible. Be ready to RSVP when they send those emails out. Also, be thinking about if you would like to step up and run for any district position as that is coming up as well. 3. Some of these awards are DUE February 3 ,2016 and others are DUE on-site on March 3, 2016. Check your award descriptions on the following links to clarify which date goes with that award.

4. Chapter Service Projects: As many of you are visiting relatives over the break, I would just like to remind you that you can still be racking up service hours during the holiday season.

5. The Texas-Oklahoma Kiwanis Foundation generously sets aside funds for Circle K members to receive academic scholarships each worth $1,500 or $1,000. The scholarship application MUST be postmarked

by January 31st and you must be attending DCON to apply.

6. Recruitment: Fall is ended and many chapters have stopped recruiting.

DO NOT FORGET you can still recruit during spring!!! Many activities wrapped up in fall and individuals are still looking for ways to get involved to serve others!

7. Remember to enjoy the holidays with your families and take this time to rest of for the spring semester.
