My Salute to Dr. Taylor Swift: A True Inspiration

I
t is such a privilege to work on this publication. As a huge fan of Taylor, and a Swiftie for over a decade and a half, I thought this was a great way to express how grateful I am to Taylor, sorry I mean Dr. Swift (I’ve tried to book an appointment but apparently she’s not that kind of doctor), for how much she has impacted my life, and I am sure I am not alone in
saying that there were many of us who looked to her music for comfort in times when we felt like we couldn’t keep going on. With her lyrics she can seemingly touch us in our inmost person. The last year has been a really busy one for Taylor with her Eras Tour being such a massive success, releasing the Speak Now Taylor’s Version (one of my favorite albums of all time) and the release of 1989 Taylor’s Version, all of which have broken multiple records and dominated the charts since their release. Yet despite her tremendous success, Taylor has managed to remain down to earth and such a great person all around. Mr Ed Kelce, who is the father of famous NFL player Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs and Tay-
or’s new beau, said in an interview, “She [Taylor] seems to have missed the diva memo.” This was in response to Taylor helping tidy up after a game. I thought to myself, “Just when you think you can’t love her any more...” One can’t help but be Enchanted by her. Thank you Taylor! Not just for the many years of great music but for being such a great person and loving your fans and showing us how much you value us with each track and performance. We can’t express how much you mean to us and have impacted our lives with your art and humanity. We wish you years of continued success and blessings.

wifties around the world have been in awe once again as Taylor Swift makes a tidal wave with her Eras Tour. This record-breaking revolutionary tour was nothing short of spectacular, leaving those who had the privilege to attend a jaw-dropping show that is not soon to be forgotten. When the first announcement, from Taylor first hit the news and social media the one thing on everyone’s mind was - “I need to see this!” On social media Taylor announced: “I’m enchanted to announce my next tour: ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, a journey through the musical eras of my career (past and present!)” To date it is estimated that it has grossed over a billion dollars

Many well known celebrities were among the attendees and social media was ablaze with fans everywhere sharing their experiences. In some shows, during unpredictable foul weather, Taylor smiled and shrugged it off and kept playing, which dazzled her fans even more. So far The Eras Tour is the highest-grossing tour ever by a woman and second highest-grossing overall based on the first 56 North American shows alone. Currently at the time of publication, The Eras Tour is in South America and fans in Brazil are getting to enjoy her remarkable performance.

Taylor Swift Eras Tour Hits the Box Office with Massive Success Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour approaches $200M at the Global Box Office in the first few weeks since release, far exceeding predictions.
F
ollowing the massive success of Taylor’s Eras Tour which left Swifties who were unable to attend feel like they missed out on one of the most remarkable entertainment experiences in our lifetime, news of the Tour would be released on the big screen was like an answer to prayer. Within just two weeks since the premiere on October 13, IMDB reports $132 million in gross revenue which surpassed the initial seemingly ambitious $95 million which at the time was believed to be an exaggerated figure. So Swifties, check the local listings and be sure to check out and be a part of one of the greatest shows by Taylor to date. At the time of publication there is no official reports about whether it will be released on
streaming services. Puck News stated, “The exclusive theatrical window for The Eras Tour is big, too, especially for today’s marketplace. Theaters that play the Taylor movie must agree to carry it for a minimum of 4 weeks, I’m told, and to show trailers in advance, but they can play it for as many as 26 weeks without worrying that the terms will change. After 13 weeks, the Swifts are free to put it on streaming—those rights are still available—but the focus is on the theatrical window, and neither Netflix, which bought Swift’s Miss Americana nor Disney+, which carried Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions, has engaged on this film.” Swifties are hoping that digital release is imminent.

nce again the MTV Video Music Awards were dominated by Taylor Swift as she received multiple nominations and won nine. It comes as no surprise as the Midnights album took the charts by storm and still remains among the most streamed albums on Spotify. The event was a fun-filled starfilled night where fans could watch as Taylor was part of the crowd, singing and dancing
along with the various performances. Taylor had her own moment of being startruck as she was presented with the Best Pop Award by members of NSYNC. Taylor Swift Receives Honorary Doctorate from NYU

t’s official - Taylor Swift is a doctor. On Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at New York University, Taylor received an honorary doctorate in fine arts. Taylor said in her commencement speech, “I’d like to say a huge thank you to NYU‘s Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Bill Berkeley and all the trustees and members of the board, NYU’s President Andrew Hamilton, Provost Katherine Fleming, and the faculty and alumni here today who have made this day possible. I feel so proud to share this day with my fellow honorees Susan Hockfield and Felix Matos Rodriguez, who humble me with the ways they improve our world with their work. As for me, I’m…90% sure the main reason I’m here is because I have a song called ‘22’. And let me just say, I am elated to be here with you today as we celebrate and graduate New York University’s Class of 2022. Not a single one of us here today has done it alone. We are
each a patchwork quilt of those who have loved us, those who have believed in our futures, those who showed us empathy and kindness or told us the truth even when it wasn’t easy to hear. Those who told us we could do it when there was absolutely no proof of that. Someone read stories to you and taught you to dream and offered up some moral code of right and wrong for you to try and live by. Someone tried their best to explain every concept in this insanely complex world to the child that was you, as you asked a bazillion questions like ‘how does the moon work’ and ‘why can we eat salad but not grass.’ And maybe they didn’t do it perfectly. No one ever can. Maybe they aren’t with us anymore, and in that case I hope you’ll remember them today. If they are here in this stadium, I hope you’ll find your own way to express your gratitude for all the steps and missteps that have led us to this common destination.”
